Hey, thanks for the comments. They are exactly what I am looking for.
Firstly, I do agree with you with synthetic benchmarks. I have seen others using them around the web, so that's why I included them. I didn't expect much of a performance increase, but I stated as such. Some people believe...
Yeah, they do have a very high price point. Even still though.. I don't really see a reason to get one at this point, unless you do run a lot of multiple processes at once, or are into multi-media editing.
And if so, what do you plan to do with it? Just curious what type of people are buying Dual Core.
I have a feeling a lot of people will buy it, not knowing what it's really for, or without knowing the lack of benefits they will get for it.
You mean system requirements?
Recommended: Windows 2000/XP, P4 1.7GHz or AMD 1700+, 512MB ram, 16x CD-Rom, 2 GB HDD Space, GeForce FX 5600 or ATI 9600 or higher, 16-Bit Sound, Broadband.. Keyboard/Mouse
Hope this is what you wanted.
Are you in need of more connectivity in your PC? Logisys recently released a new media panel which attempts to give us the connectivity we are looking for, and more. See how it made out in our review.

Glad you enjoyed the article!
You certainly didn't waste money on your 64-Bit though, as you still get killer performance. If you compared benchmarks from your CPU, to 32-Bit CPU's of the same speed, you would see the performance differences.
Once Longhorn is released, hopefully we will...
Since Windows XP Pro 64-Bit was released, there has been a lot of speculation of whether it would help current gaming or anything else in general. I put both versions of the OS through a round of benchmarks to see if the 64-Bit does indeed offer any advantage.

I agree 100%.
It wasn't a small transformation, they changed a LOT. Personally, I like the way it is now as well, but I wish they hadn't changed anything. Before, it was unique.. not many MMO's like it.. but now as you said.. it's like many.
Really don't know what Garriot was thinking...

I've been having a problem with heated HDD's lately. I have three, and they are on top of each other, and are usually hovering around 45ºC - 51ºC.
To me, this is too hot.. especially since it's heating up my entire room. It's funny how little I had to do to remedy this problem. I just...
Well.. it wasn't *really* 4GHz, so the temps kept around 40Deg.
Really, it was 200*10, but it thought it was 400*10, which is technically impossible.. even if I had the thing hooked up to LN2.
Had to clean my CMOS twice to fix the problem, but it's all fixed now.
You may want to try this out.
Never used it, but it looks like something you could use. You can't simply password protect a harddrive through Windows, though.
AMD has had their share of new CPU releases lately, and more are coming. Recently, they released the Venice and San Diego chips, with a 90nm core, added SSE3 support, and has superb overclocking potential. They also use less power, which means lower temps! Read on as I put the Venice 3200+...
