    OCZ 2GB PC2-7200 SLI-Ready Edition

No :P It's for people who don't overclock and just want a "simple" OC. Overclocking it yourself, you'd get a FAR better overclock no question. They were not that price when they were first released. If I recall correctly, they were hovering around $400.

    Sabayon Linux 3.2

You could almost walk to the developers house and kick him if it doesn't install on your system. He lives in Italy somewhere ;-) Good luck, I hope you get it working. If worst comes to worst, I still recommend the IRC room. There are a lot of Sabayon users there, including Beta testers, so...

    Sabayon Linux 3.2

No, this has nothing to do with the noapic/etc boot codes, so ignore those. That is one bizarre problem you are having though... I don't understand it. I don't have a Sabayon CD handy so I can't boot up with it and figure out a problem but what I do recommend is downloading an IRC client and...

    Sabayon Linux 3.2

They are just power related options... AM2 has a tendency to not function properly with those features in tact, so more often than not, I have to disable them on my AM2 machine. I am not saying this is your problem though, but it's worth a try. Well, I'm really unsure if that's all necessary...

    OCZ 2GB PC2-7200 SLI-Ready Edition

I haven't cracked them open, but I'm 99% sure they are D9GMH given the price range. GKX chips are for modules priced far higher. As I mentioned in the review, "One thing you might notice right away is that these are "SLI-Ready" modules. What does that mean to you, the consumer? Not to steal...

    Sabayon Linux 3.2

Hmm, if it's not booting into the Live CD environment, it sounds like it's just getting halted along the way. Although, I'm unsure why it would say no bootable media found... So... you haven't reached the live environment at all, right? One thing you might want to try is pushing F5 at the boot...

    OCZ 2GB PC2-7200 SLI-Ready Edition

We took a look at a PC2-7200 kit from OCZ last year and it proved to be one of the best kits we've ever laid our mitts on. Today we are taking a look at another PC2-7200 kit, approved and branded by NVIDIA. Are we going to be impressed once again? You can read the full review here and discuss...

    Seagate 7200.2 160GB Notebook Drive

I wouldn't call it strange. You didn't read the review, so I'll just quote from it: "Sadly, I did not have any other 7200RPM notebook drives on hand, so I instead used Toshibas 4200 200GB and Hitachi 5400 100GB for comparisons."

    WiFi is completely unstable...

I don't think it's the ISP... the connection is rock solid if I use a wired connection. After that point it's up to the router. I went from WPA to Open/Shared and it works a lot better now... going to setup another router sometime this week and investigate further.

    ASUS WL-500W SuperSpeed N Router

Ahh, the channel might be a good idea. I might leave it alone since it's working "for now". But I have another router to review... so I guess I will need to tackle it sooner than later ;-) Orinoco used to be big a few years back... but I'm not sure they even exist anymore. They might just make...

    ASUS WL-500W SuperSpeed N Router

Nope, still using the same D-Link network card. I am not sure how a lower security would "fix" things, but it's working a lot better than it ever has. I still believe some interference is playing a role, which is why I can't use a higher security, but who knows... it's a confusing situation...

    Friendliness of Linux networking

Long story short. I had a group of files on a Windows laptop that I needed to get to my Windows desktop, so that I could benchmark a thumb drive for an upcoming review. So, I set up the network, shared the folders... all that good stuff. I rebooted both PC's, expecting them to see each other...

P5W64 Vcore options disappearing from BIOS, help!

Definitely sounds like a corrupt BIOS chip. Maybe you are lucky it's working at all, hehe. Seriously, that sucks. Hopefully ASUS will be able to send you a new one. I can't see why they wouldn't.

    ASUS WL-500W SuperSpeed N Router

Hmm, I had that problem before as well regarding resetting the router in order to have it pick up a signal again. I'm unsure if it was the WL-500W, but I know it was one of the ASUS routers I've used. I also got in the mood to change the encryption on this thing the other day, and after about...

    e4300, evga 680i revision A1 overclocking

I'm curious, where did you get those BIN files? All I could find on their site were .EXEs that were used to create a floppy. I do agree on the CPU limit... chances are you topped it out. All things considered, it's still an amazing overclock and performance gain over stock. Also... did you...

    e4300, evga 680i revision A1 overclocking

I don't know, but to me it might just be the fact that the E4300 is just not willing to go much higher. I didn't have -that- much luck with my E6300.. I believe it topped out at 3.35GHz or around there. Have you checked temps? Maybe the E4300 for whatever reason, is heating up faster than it...
