Nintendo Announces Wii Successor; Set to Launch in 2012

I totally agree. But for such a risk it sure as hell paid off, they were the only console maker to not only avoid making a loss per console sold but made a profit on the actual console sales. And Microsoft launched the Xbox 360 the very same year, 2005...

    Logitech Performance Mouse MX Review

Micro-USB? Wow that's tiny... Everything I own uses normal or mini-USB only, but mobile phones especially have adopted the micro-USB ports. Greg is correct, the Performance MX mouse uses a micro-USB connection. All three USB connection sizes are a universal standard, that's what USB is as...

Sony's PlayStation Network Down; Could Be All Weekend

Alright, fair enough point that. :) The bad news is Sony isn't even sure about user's personal / financial information. This very likely looks like more than just a DDoS attack now. More info at http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2011/04/psn-update-sony-isnt-sure-your-credit-card-data-is-safe.ars

Nintendo Announces Wii Successor; Set to Launch in 2012

There's no way they can release a non-HD capable console. It's just not going to happen! Interesting that they chose 2012, that's sooner than Microsoft and Sony both want to release their next consoles. Nintendo may be able to seize big on this if their new console is on the shelf next to...

    Portal 2 Review

I gotta agree. Valve does seem to always ace one thing with their games, and that's sounds & character commentary. The audio simply defines Portal, although in games like TF2 the character quips, taunts, and wisecracks are still a source of great amusement (and new ones are STILL getting...

    Logitech Performance Mouse MX Review

I use the G500. It's a good mouse, and although it takes awhile to set the myriad of settings to the sensitivity and preconfigs I use I'm quite happy with mine. The cord is a little annoying though, it acts like a twist-tie so it stays in whatever shape it was put in instead of a normal...

    Logitech Performance Mouse MX Review

Interesting mouse, I'll have to try and remember there's multiple MX devices now! If I was still looking for a mouse that one would be high on my list. :) I like the optional usb cable extension... needed that with my Microsoft keyboard given the reception was nonexistent beyond two feet...

Creating Bootable Linux Thumb Drives with Universal USB Installer

Very interesting tool, I need to make a note of it! Actually, you can expect Android to show up in a big way within just six months. Google has given the Android 3.0 source code to Intel for them to compile and modify to run natively on the x86 architecture. Intel has indicated development...

Sony's PlayStation Network Down; Could Be All Weekend

Total stupidity on the hackers part if it was indeed them. Odd that Sony isn't admitting it, only reason they'd have to stay silent was if they haven't figured out how it was occurring yet or if it was due to an issue on their end.

    keyboard

What DarkStarr said. Even with the software installed you may need to manually assign the pause/save keys within the game(s) for them to work.

    Recommend me a keyboard!

Darkstar, the delete key layout differs on the one in your link, so it's not identical. I point this out as I MUST have the large delete key layout, it makes touch typing much cleaner and quicker for me given I've used that layout for years. You may or may not have a strong preference here but...

    Me PC!!

Anything that uses the SATA 3Gb/s port can potentially be affected. If you ever wish or will need to use the SATA 3Gb/s ports then you may wish to consider RMA'ing for a revised B3 hardware board.

Researchers Discover that Your iPhone Tracks You

Glad that they made a point to underscore this... cellular companies have tracked this for ages and are still actively seeking ways to capitalize on location awareness for location specific ads, coupons, and whatever else they can think of. But still, it is disconcerting this data is now...

Seagate and Samsung Announce Strategic Alignment

I have no issue buying whichever brand of GPU or CPU best meets the price and/or performance criteria... but I can't say the same for hard drives. Especially when the only options left are Western Digital or Seagate. I'm pretty sure most enthusiasts feel the same way, although the same...

Seagate and Samsung Announce Strategic Alignment

This is crazy. Just crazy. Seagate bought out Maxtor Toshiba bought out Fujitsu's HDD division Western Digital bought out Hitachi's HDD division Seagate bought out Samsung's HDD division That leaves only Western Digital, Seagate, and Toshiba as HDD manufacturers. This deal leaves...

    Apple vs. Microsoft: The Numbers

No offense to ComputerWorld, but Microsoft is not Apple's primary competitor in the smartphone market. It's an interesting article, but misses the main point. Microsoft won't lead the smartphone market by 2015, has long been expected to be Android. WSJ ran an article that compared Android's...

    WHY NEWEGG WHY??

Ya might do so and get some credit history going! But anyway BillMeLater doesn't require a credit card, they do require a bank account though unless they've changed since I last read up on it.

    EVGA offering good "BStock" deals!

Hmm, good catch! I forgot entirely about that, and it needs to be mentioned before anyone mistakingly assumes the original warranty applies to B-stock items.

The State of Overclocking on Intel Motherboards

Just because people run them at 1.55v stable doesn't mean that it is not dangerous! That's about the threshold where core degradation will set in, especially when combined with high core temperatures. With those secific chips I personally wouldn't recommend anything above 1.45v for 24/7 loads.
