    The Elder Scrolls Online Revealed

Should have guessed this... Here's the 'trailer' people - yeah, I just air-quoted and italicized it in a sarcastic manner... BEHOLD! http://www.gameinformer.com/games/the_elder_scrolls_online/b/pc/archive/2012/05/04/teaser-trailer-unveiled.aspx Are the pictures going to be high-definition...

    The Elder Scrolls Online Revealed

Everyone gasp in absolute shock! OK, so it's not a complete surprise, but The Elder Scrolls is going online in the form of an MMO. There are scarce details at the moment as the exclusive reveal comes from the Game Informer, but a trailer and pictures will be made available tomorrow. You...

Blizzard to take 15% from player-to-player sales

Get's better too, you have to pay PayPal on top of that if you want to take the cash out of the game, otherwise you can put it forward to your battle.net account, with like a WoW sub... I've really got nothing to say with this. I'm just going to shake my head and close the page.

    Actual Multiple Monitors

Windows 8 might be worth a look since there is the new Release Preview. Page 3 of the Ars article mentions some of the new things that can be done. http://arstechnica.com/microsoft/news/2012/04/windows-8-on-the-desktopan-awkward-hybrid.ars/3 But that does mean - you know - using Windows 8.... :p

    Diablo III Free Open Beta

Yup yup, Torchlight 2 here for me as well. Played the original and loved it, though the lack of co-op made the game rather lonely. Thankfully, that's now fixed. Pre-order on Steam as well. Gotta have the right mindset with hack'n'slash titles, and multiplayer is imperative, so I'm glad...

Valve Confirmed to be Working on Steam for Linux

I should mention though - since I only just remembered, the good news will come in the form of Indie developers. The Humble Indie Bundle released games with full Linux support, and this is probably where Steam will take the advantage. Not on big budget cinematics, but on small 3-15 man teams.The...

Valve Confirmed to be Working on Steam for Linux

Linux GPU drivers are a hurdle for sure; the real problem is DirectX. Until developers switch to OpenGL, there isn't going to be a huge amount of change. Unfortunately, developer experience with OpenGL is at an all time low, it pretty much peaked in 2000-01.

Small changes to classic video games

Looked at number one and had an overwhelming sense of 'Déjà vu' - so many games where I've become hampered by a devilishly placed plant pot, a chair leg or a rock the size of a golf ball... because the jump was all of 2 inches. I can battle 30ft monsters that lay waste to cities with nothing...

    raspberry pi anyone?

I have some pre-ordered, quite early, so I'll be getting news of a delivery date soon. I've been keeping an eye on this for some time, so I'll let you guys know how it goes when it arrives. I have pre-orders with both RS components and Farnell. Bare in mind that you do need some other equipment...

    Windows Update

Last thing I can think of is port forwarding or something on the router. But due to an ISP switch? I doubt that's the issue. You've done pretty much everything possible, sorry we can't be of much help.

    Kingston Releases HyperX 3K SSDs

A lot of cases I've seen with hard drive loading bays, will have mounting holes for 2.5" drives on the underside, rather than on the side. Two of my cases have these plastic loading bays for hard drives, both have holes on the underside for 2.5" drives. One is 3 years old, the other is 5 years...

    Google eyeglasses

Nothing worse than listening to someone eat in high-definition, complete with fake sounds of overindulgence and grunting with confirmation... OK, I lie, there are things worse, but still... Still not sure about this, would have thought contact lenses would be better, but one step at a time. I...

OCZ Unveils Indilinx Everest 2 Powered Vertex 4 SSD

It has been a few years but Indilinx is back! Since their splash into the consumer markets in 2008, SSDs have characteristically been doubling in performance with each successive launch of some controller on a roughly annual basis. Yet more recently, SandForce has managed to recapture and hold...

Next-Gen Xbox Rumored to Include Blu-ray and Dual AMD GPUs

Considering the price of these new consoles when they come out, and considering the hardware estimate, then consider PCs can hook up to TVs... people could just get a PC and have significantly more flexibility. Hell, windows 8 can probably be controlled by a joypad. Silly people and their...

    High Speed SD Cards

Schoolboy failure... I knew I shouldn't have posted that when I was tired! Fixed now though, 1000 bits, sheesh... it's 1000 bytes per kilobyte, instead of 1024 (not megabyte there :p). Anyway... The speeds you're getting there are exactly the same as what this card got through both my monitor...

    High Speed SD Cards

Okay, so SD cards are not that exciting, but I take a fair few photos and it's kinda painful to wait forever to transfer files back and forth from the damn cards. So, I thought I'd get a faster card and was kind of surprised to see a 95MB/s SD card by SanDisk (Extreme Pro). There was me thinking...

Corsair Vengeance K60 Mechanical Keyboard Review

My concern is that the update might kill some of the sensitivity of the keys. But the key streaming issue hasn't occurred over the last week, despite using the board exactly the same way and frequency. This is what lead me to belive it's the switches settling rather than a firmware issue. But if...

Gamer Builds Functioning Scientific Calculator in Minecraft

My brain is melting at the complexity... but just look at some of the Little Big Planet 2 projects floating around too. Go from stuff like this which will have you cracking up at the sheer randomness; then turn the cutesy bubbly 3D side scroller into a gritty FPS that looks like something from...
