    PLANon DocuPen RC800

There is a new DocuPen model added to PLANon's ever-growing lineup. The RC800 is a full color document scanner that can store up to one hundred pages on it's internal memory. If you have the need for a portable scanner, you won't want to miss this one. You can read the full review here and...

Beijing IDF 07: Penryn, Teraflops and Skulltrail

IDF Beijing is now underway and there are countless announcements to cover. These include new Penryn performance reports, updated information on their 80-Core processor in addition to a new teraflops technology called Larrabee, new power consumption goals and more. You can read the article here...

    Your thoughts on Quad Core?

The Q6600 for $500 is a steal if true. E6600 in Canada costs $400 right now, so a Q6600 should wind up being $600 if conversion is accurate. 50% higher cost for 100% more cores sounds like a good deal.

American record companies at their best...

Ouch... Consider this scenario. You download a 192KBps MP4 file off of iTunes and need to burn it to a CD. Even though the bitrate is falsly increased, you will still not be hearing better than 192KBps. You can't gain data quality out of thin air. That's what happens when you do conversion of...

American record companies at their best...

Personally I will never purchase music off an online service regardless if it's lossless or not. I prefer to own the actual disc and see my collection grow, not just virtually. Owning the actual disc gives you better freedom as well. You could rip to FLAC and then to MP3 if you wanted. Buying...

    Cedega 6.0

Hah, I was kidding about taking points away. I completely understand why people move away from Gentoo. I've run into a few problems that have almost made me take that direction, but I enjoy Portage too much. Good to hear your experience with WoW was good (despite the tweaks you had to...

    Your thoughts on Quad Core?

That link is broken, but it's not much of a surprise. Games won't even take advantage of 4-cores currently (except a very select few), let alone 8-cores. I expect by this time next year, more games will take proper advantage of these additional cores.

    Need advice on speaker set

I'm also interested in getting a speaker set. The gaming PC uses headphones primarily, but I'd like to get a pair of speakers for the sake of others being able to hear what's going on. Is there anything in the $100 range that would do well? I don't want to spend much more than that simply...

    Looking for a digital thermometer

I am looking for something that will give me a digital readout. When I mentioned probe, I don't really care if it's a thermal sensor gun that shoots back the temp, or if it's a diode I have to tape/stick into the module. I just want something mainly, that's quite accurate and won't cost an arm...

    Gates and Jobs... British Comedy

Haha, wow. That's so geeky it's almost difficult to watch. I admit I've been in the "You are not talking about computers again?" scenario though.

Thanks BlindMonk, I'm curious enough to try that out later. Hah, I will check it out. You need to upgrade those icons though, each one of those cameras have had upgrades (F6/D2Xs/D200) ;)

    Cooler Master iTower 930

Taking a break from making stellar gaming chassis, Cooler Master looks to invade our desks, not to house our multiple GPU systems, but rather our ever increasing storage needs with their iTower 930. Read the review, then discuss it here!

    Looking for a digital thermometer

Hi peeps, I am looking to purchase a digital thermometer (preferably one under $100) that I can use to test the temps inside the PC. I am primarily pondering about memory reviews. Since each kit of ram can have different temperatures, I'd like to be able to compare them this way to each other...

I hear you. I refuse to buy WindowsBlinds. Call me cheap. It's a great program, but I don't need Windows-themes that badly. +1 for you for the Nikon icons.

    ASUS WL-500W SuperSpeed N Router

Sure if you have samples, I'd love to hear them. I'm sure if it's anything like Intensify, I'll pick it up. I was unaware they had other albums at all... just slews of singles.

And to think their new album is finally almost out. It was last January when they first announced it... so it's really about time.

    Vista's Security..the honeymoon's OVER!

As much as I hate to say this... this is not Microsofts fault per se, but rather NVIDIAs. Are you -sure- when you installed the drivers, you didn't receive a prompt that stated they were not WHQL drivers? I ran into a similar problem in December, but I was trying to install drivers that were not...

    ASUS WL-500W SuperSpeed N Router

Hah, Tiesto was a great gateway, I agree. I do enjoy his older stuff moreso than the newer stuff, but I still respect him a lot. His music has gotten me through a lot of boring evenings. As for WoW, I own their Intensify album and it's good. I admit to not knowing much else they put out though...

    Vista's Security..the honeymoon's OVER!

If I ever find myself with three months time to waste, perhaps ;-) As it stands, I don't have time to even experience the euphoria state a Mac so apparently offers, let alone try to break one. Your Macs will remain safe for now! Hahahahahaha.
