    CellFactor: Revolution

It seems like we have been waiting on CellFactor forever, but the day has finally arrived. AGEIA has been touting this game for quite some time as the one to showcase all that their PhysX card is capable of. Was it worth all those delays? You can read the full review here and discuss it here.

    Gentoo 2007.0 Released

For multiple reasons, this release is... just over two months late. I was waiting so long, I almost forgot about it. Press Release If I can find time, I'll write up my thoughts in the form of an article in the coming week. Long live Gentoo!

    Flash Earth

We've all become fans of Google Earth, but here is a very cool website I stumbled on the other day: http://www.flashearth.com/ Essentially, it allows you to view the Earth as you would with any other map site. The coolest thing is though, is that you can switch between services on the fly. If...

    WoW Visa Card

Accrue World of Warcraft gametime at the rate of 1% of every dollar in qualifying purchases. The World of Warcraft Rewards Visa is the only card that pays you to play. Here's yet another reason why I think gaming as a whole is continually going downhill. It's become so focused on commercialism...

    64 bit windows and Gaming?

I wrote an article about this a while ago, but things may have improved quite a bit since then. I'd like to follow-up, actually. My overall conclusions is that moving to 64-Bit will -not- show huge benefits to games at all. In fact, I am having a hard time finding a 64-Bit application that is...

    SLI verses single

Games look fine on that? I am just speaking of experience with my LCD TV. I've always been a firm believer that a computer monitor would provide the utmost quality when compared to a TV. Normally, one product can't do two things well (kind of like how the Xbox 360 looks like shit on my ASUS 20"...

    SLI verses single

Depends on the games, really. But I agree. If you bought a TV a year ago, it's doubtful it will support higher than 1366x768 or *x768. I didn't realize the higher resolutions were so prevalent now. Still, computer monitor > TV. So I guess the question is Merlin, what resolution does the TV...

    SLI verses single

Definitely not. The size of the screen means nothing when it comes to a television... even the highest resolution TV's on the market cap at 1366x768. At that point, a 7900GT would be ideal. 8800GTX would be an intense overkill.

    Micron Releases 533MHz Chips

As I touched on in my news posting, I really do wonder if we will be seeing DDR2-1300 and higher in the near future, thanks to these chips. As it stands, many people (myself included) have managed DDR2-1250 and higher stable, so maybe D9GMH/GKX is finally at the end of it's run, since it doesn't...

    Super Talent 4GB PC2-6400

Although Super Talent is still growing in popularity, they know how to put together a solid kit of ram. Today we will be taking a look at their latest "Performance" 4GB PC2-6400 kit with timings of 5-5-5. You can read the full review here and discuss it here.

    SLI verses single

Dual 8800GTX is only useful if you are running a 30" monitor, because of the 2560x1600 resolution. Picture the fact that a game runs well on a single 8800GTX on a 24" monitor (1920x1200 = 2.3 megapixels). Bump up to a 30" monitor and you are now dealing with over 4.0 megapixels. In that case...

    ASUS Lamborghini VX2

I have a bad habit of typing Episode 2. Now, if it was Half-Life: Episode 1, that would be a different story, since I already didn't hit the 2 key.

It is, I have an 8800GTX installed in there. It's a tight squeeze though, let me tell you.

    ASUS G2 initial impressions

This laptop is marketed towards a completely different crowd, which is a good reason why it costs $1000 less than the VX2

    Hauppauge WinTV HVR-950

If you are looking for a portable WinTV solution from Happauge, you are in luck. The HVR-950 is capable of handling both normal and high-def TV and fits in a pocket! The largest draw might just be it's $90 price tag. You can read the review and then discuss it here!

    ASUS G2 initial impressions

It's 9.7lbs, so it's far from light. It's definitely the most solid notebook I've touched though, so I think it would stand up well to some rough handling.
