    OCZ joins NASDAQ

Hm, OCZ is definitely one company that is climbing higher and reaching for it. It will be interesting to follow along as they expand their core focus/products and continue to grow.

Any Builders Try Ninite Easy PC Setup?

Haha.... if you had posted this Thursday I could've put it to the test! I reinstalled my OS onto a new drive. There are 20 programs in that page I installed manually... :p I'll have to bookmark this one for future reference.

All pop songs are 4 chords?

That was totally awesome, hilarious... and a touch scary. :D

How about a trip to the rectum bar?

No, this thread is just a pain in the ass!

    Photoshop's Content-Aware feature is AMAZING!

Now THAT program is well worth the asking price!

    Western Digital SiliconEdge Blue 256GB

We don't have one in route but we'll be sure to put a request in to Micron/Crucial for one. In all likelihood I think we'd need to find some more strenuous tests first! :p

Reason Behind Apple Sticking with C2D in 13" MacBook Pro

Yeah... I've stripped my laptop down into individual components before... it an almost a full-size ATX board inside by comparison. It was only a 2005 model, can't do half the things those boards can and the 915 chipset won't accept Core Duo or Core 2 Duo CPUs, real bummer.

    Intel Releases TRIM-Supporting RAID Drivers

I hear ya. Apparently is was worded incorrectly in the release notes, but Intel fixed the mistake. The feature is supposed to refer to using a standalone SSD when the chipset is configured in RAID mode only... so you can have your hard disk drives in RAID, but still use TRIM on your standalone...

    Xbox360 Semi sorta mod

Looks good! What all did you do? Paint the case, changed the power LED to blue, colored the tray & power button metallic gray...? Will look sweet after those controllers match. :)

What is causing my 5850's fan to sound like a wood chipper?

It does sound like it, but nonetheless it shouldn't happen on a new 5850... Killem2, glad you're RMA'ing the thing. Better to replace it before that fan potentially fails and the card cooks itself.

First new build in 4 years

That looks like a sweet build! The Megahalems cooler should outperform the V8 and I suspect the V10 as well. It won't be by much, but when paying that much for a CPU cooler ya might as well get every last degree of performance. :) That case is interesting, I've not even heard of it yet...

Reason Behind Apple Sticking with C2D in 13" MacBook Pro

Just read this earlier today... very interesting to know. Frankly I'm astonished at how small those PCBs are for all of them, I think I've seen larger mini-ITX boards. :D

    Western Digital SiliconEdge Blue 256GB

Howdy! I'm not Rob, but I'm Robert so that should be close enough! :D I don't expect prices to fall below $2 per GB (for reputable, good performing SSDs) for another 2 years... it's always hard to guess with technology, but I expect we may see SSDs priced below $1 a GB inside 3-5 years...

    What EXACTLY are multiple cores?

I found those analogies to be highly amusing... but now I gotta quibble just a bit with that last one just for anyone that is really curious to know. Out-of-Order design CPU's do in fact execute code non sequentially, and Pyschosomatic is quite right in that respect. A CPU isn't just a...

    Life Without Oxygen, That's Hardcore!

Just goes to show... there doesn't need to the presence of oxygen to have life. It also proves that the possibilities for life out the universe are greater than one might think.... ;)

    SLi ready Asus AM3 mobo

I resent that implication, I'm not old yet! :p Not playing favorites certainly makes choosing the better product much easier... there is no issue with running ATI graphics cards on an NVIDIA chipset. You might run into the odd driver issue FOR the NVIDIA chipset (Windows 7 may not...

    All ASUS Xonar Users

I have confirmed there is a driver incompatibility between the ASUS Xonar and ASUS Rampage II Extreme motherboard when paired with Windows 7 64bit. Needless to say this is extremely ridiculous, especially given the ASUS Xonar works in their largest competitor's motherboard (Gigabyte) without...

The next version of Blu-ray, BDXL

And that's very true, I honestly feel the same way about it as the annual costs are certainly much less to go that route. I just hope more sites like these start adding higher quality content/streams to make it a genuine replacement for physical media. The only downside is not everyone has...

The next version of Blu-ray, BDXL

Tharic does make a good point... even if you did wait for a compatible BD player that was affordable, there is no guaranteeing it will not itself become outdated by a new BD revision or some other development shortly thereafter. Blu-ray movies certainly don't need the room, current 50GB discs...
