    AMD CEO Dirk Meyer Resigns

Corporate restructuring is rarely news worthy, but when a CEO that took a company from near administration to profitability within 2 years and resigns, then it's worth paying attention. Dirk Meyers took the reigns of AMD in 2008 and turned it around for the better, so why is he resigning...

    Intel's Sandy Bridge Revealed: Core i5-2500K & i7-2600K Reviewed

Also bare in mind about whether you want to make use of the on-die IGP for things like video encoding. Intel's made a bit of a mess with the chipsets in that if you go with H67, you get to use the IGP, but can't overclock very well. If you go P67, then you can overclock as much as you want (with...

    Intel's Sandy Bridge Revealed: Core i5-2500K & i7-2600K Reviewed

Looking around, it seems that 5.0 can be hit with 1.43v - 1.45v, I guess it depends on the cooler, TIM, Ambient Temp, airflow and luck of the draw... This is first generation as well, get a couple Step revisions in and these could probably hit 5.0 at 1.40v to 1.38... That or wait for Intel's...

Over buffered networks can lead to high latencies

Is there any way to fix this behaviour on the home side? My only guess would be a different firmware with a choke on the buffer... apart from that, just a new router. So does QoS only help when the buffer is full - as in, completely useless under these circumstances? If that's the case, what is...

    Corsair at CES 2011

I would love to get hold of this new audio gear. The HS1A will loose the Dolby effect (which worked quite well to be honest), but a direct feed from a decent sound card will probably more than compensate... musically anyway. As for games, I don't think the software based up-scaling of the...

    Intel's Sandy Bridge Revealed: Core i5-2500K & i7-2600K Reviewed

They can hit 5GHz with a good Air cooler and/or Water loop, they just OC that well. Luck helps, yes, but the chips can run 4.4-4.6 using the stock mini cooler.... you know, that 1inch high cooler we used to have on Pentium 2s... lol

Over buffered networks can lead to high latencies

I believe I had the ADSL version of that router and also suffered problems with any kind of torrent. It would lockup or become unresponsive to login attempts... port forwarding changes would result in it rebooting itself, and so forth. So yeah, i'm inclined to believe the router is at fault...
