it's kind of good news I think as now both pc and mac can finally be able to boot on either macihne. it's good for consumer, though may not be so good for mac.
Vista will come both 32bit and 64bit. MS will release both of them at the same time (and it seems to me that MS will be heavily promoting 64bit with Vista).
i really want a laptop. I am waiting for dual core and 64bit integrated into current pentium M cpu before I buy it I think. Also, kind of hoping that dedicated gfx becoming a standard.
I think eventually laptop will slowly becoming the main cpu among many users.
yeah, some games do have slightly performance hits with dual core. The problem is current games are not fully designed to take the full advantage of the dual core. A lot of them just spread the demand over 2 core but not taking the full dual core's power. I think next gen's cpu will be mroe...
ddr2 is moving at ery slow pace. I think with the release of am2, the computer industry will push ddr2's speed to another high end. Though from the performance that I have seen, ddr2 has yet to bring much needed performance boost for amd. Maybe amd should skip ddr2 and move to ddr3:)
at current chipset, I think nvidia has the better ones, but that may all change in the future. Nvidia not only has good chipset for amd but also for intel.
PSU has been getting bigger and bigger, however, i think one thing that all PSU companies should spend more time in developing is rather than making them bigger but making them more efficient and have active psu included in all psu. They should have learn that sometimes by making it more...
well, yeah until we see the actual product, it's still hard to tell the real world performance but based on the specs and everything, it does seem that intel has good chip.
x1600xt is nice card but I think it's unfortunate that ATI really has killed it by only use 128bit memory interface. If it were 256bit I am sure that it will be a super card as it has more advance features, such as avivo and shadder 3 and such, but the 126 really hurt the performance and...
well, it's unlikely as intel really needs to compete with amd. I think like intel has always done, they will have so much cpu with diff specs to saturate the whole segments.
