    4GB Trials and Tribulations

Looks like the Ultra-D may be the board of choice. There are a lot of motherboards out there that can't handle a 4GB overclock. I was impressed how well the Ultra-D handled it, and I am sure with more tweaking, a slightly higher overclock may be possible.

    4GB Trials and Tribulations

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to move on up to 4GB of system ram? There may not be a need for that now, but it won't take very long until it's commonplace in enthusiast PC's. I take 4GB worth of top end DDR1 and DDR2 memory, and relate my overclocking and performance reports to...

    Corsair 2GB TWINX2048-4400PRO

No worries about bitching, I can understand the frustration. It's too bad that more things are not using the PCI-E 1x and 4x slots :/

I agree with Matt, go with that. That one didn't come up in my search.

    Need some new RAM.

Corsair 2GB PC4000PT OCZ Gold 2GB PC4000 XTC Both are superb kits and you will do well with either. The Corsair one will likely overclock a wee bit better, but both are great.

    Need some new RAM.

What CPU do you have again? I would personally buy a 2GB of PC4000. How much do you want to spend? There are many quality memory kits out there for good prices now. Don't worry about CPU incompatibility.. just don't buy DDR2 ;)

    Scythe Mine CPU Cooler

I was thinking the same thing.. When I was skimming through Word, no graphic loaded. When I took a look at it today, it did load, like after 3 seconds.

    URU Lives

Wow, that's awesome. I never expected that game to do well to begin with, because a Myst MMO? But it's great that Turner is going to do something with it. I bet they are glad they didn't throw out that source code ;)

Who says 4GB can't be fast?

Cross-posted from Xtremesystems.. Last month, I took a look at some 4GB DDR2 action, but compared to 2GB it just wasn't that interesting since they both ran in 2T. I figured it was time to pay some attention to DDR1, since I've been neglecting it for a while. /enter 4:00am overclocking...

    Scythe Mine CPU Cooler

Heat is the enemy of any electronic component and most especially the CPU. If your CPU is overheating you won't get the performance you should and if your cooler is screaming to relieve that heat you'll wish there was a better way. Today we look at a cooler that offers good performance without...

Zalman 9500AT Intel 775 CPU Cooler

I don't know what you are referring to exactly. The LED version uses the -exact- same parts as the AT. The back motherboard bracket, the socket front bracket, and the metal clip.. are all the same.

Zalman 9500AT Intel 775 CPU Cooler

I believe the original goal here, was to create a special Intel-only cooler that proved to be -cheaper- than the LED version. It's no secret.. the 9500AT is -identical- to the 9500 LED. The only difference is the fan speed, which is a mere 50RPM difference. They didn't include an LED on this...

    Overclocking my CPU and watercooling.

Matt can also vouch for -anything- Swiftech makes. The guy at the company takes a lot of pride in his work, so he makes sure he doesn't release crap. Glad you want to get into WC'ing man. That chip really should do at -least- 2.7GHz. I could do 2.7GHz stable on my 3200+ Venice, on air...
