Anyone know what program is hijacking me?

There's no such thing as a good combination when mentioning only two. I've run four before, and all of them found something different. You could start using Firefox also... that would be a good goal :P

    Steganos Internet Anonym 2006

That's a problem that a lot of people run into with that program, including me. To be honest, I forget how I ever actually fixed the problem, but it may have had something to do with the Firewall. You could try contacting their official support, because there is no doubt they have run into this...

    Western Digital 500GB RE2

Sorry, I meant to link to the review of the drive. There are only two 500GB Seagates... an IDE and S-ATA. Both have the same storage capacity, RPM and cache. Only real addition is NCQ. Will update the review to link to the review.

    Sabayon Linux RC2

Oh, I am not sure. I will contact the dev and get his input, then post here. I'd imagine 1GB of ram and at least a midrange card (X600, 6600GT).

Anyone know what program is hijacking me?

*looks around* Did someone say IE? Try these: http://www.merijn.org/ http://www.moosoft.com/products/cleaner/download/ http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx Make -sure- you have the latest Windows Updates... they are more important than a Firewall or Virus...

    Western Digital 500GB RE2

Will add text underneath each graph. I didn't think to add it earlier. No, you are not obligated to use their connector... it's just much sturdier than the flimsy ones you get with motherboards. It also helps use up your spare Molex 4-Pins I guess, hehe.

    Western Digital 500GB RE2

Are you looking for huge storage that won't hurt the pocketbook? Easily done, since the 500GB RE2 drive we are looking at today retails for around $250. Does it have the performance you are looking for? Read the review here and discuss it here!

    Clovertown results (2 x Quad-Core)

There's been some Clovertown results posted over at XS that are pretty droolworthy. Of course, we can't get our hands on one, but it's still fun to dream. SANDRA really shows off the power that 8 Cores can provide, but single core applications such as Super PI have standard results.

    Show off your desktop!

Seeing that the forum is slow lately, I figure we need more interactivity here. To start things off... why not show off your desktop? Nudity is not permitted  You can use the attachment feature to upload, instead of using some website if you like.

    Windex sucks.

I usually spray it on me while running around naked, for a streak free shine.

    Sabayon Linux RC2

Add superb Live DVD functionality and a complete installer, this is one distro worth watching. You can read the full article...

    Dell to finally use AMD

Good point Matt. As much as I hate Dell, and their customer service, I don't mind their warranty. I've had a few problems with my laptop, and after finally getting through their thick skulls, they were amazingly quick to fix it... within 24 hours. So, I like their warranty... so -maybe- my...

Ok, stop twisting my arm. I want 1 Terrabyte of ram.

Yes, PEI over the weekend. It's hot as heck over there... and like 10x windier than Saint John.

Ok, stop twisting my arm. I want 1 Terrabyte of ram.

Yes, dibene is the king of randomness. Yes, I am sunburnt. Yes, it's flaking. No, I can't find any aloe. Thank God my job is sitting on my ass in my bedroom. Typical computer geek. Yes, I also want 1TB of ram ;-)

    Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000

Lasers are getting more and more popular. At one time they were so expensive and cumbersome to produce that the a person could go their entire life and never see one, but no more. Now everywhere you turn you're confronted by"fricken lasers". Supermarkets, CD players, home improvement stores...

    Dell to finally use AMD

"This is not a big deal. In order to remain competitive, we have to make sure that we have [a wide] enough variety of products to meet the market demand," stated a Dell executive who chose to remain anonymous. "This is a sensitive topic, though we won't deny the fact that we are working with...

    Ultra X-Finity DR 500W

Power supplies come in just about every conceivable configuration. High wattages, single 12V rails, dual 12V rails, triple, quad. You name it, you can find it. One of the newer things we're seeing here in the states is active PFC (power factor correction). Today we take a look at an existing PSU...

    Vista discussion

Clunky is not even the word for it. It's bloated to the seams really. Bugs aside, it's a nice, clean OS, but it's so sluggish at this point. I have a feeling that the retail 'Ultimate' edition of the software is going to run well on a seriously beefy machine only, with 4GB of ram. That's just my...
