    Building my 2nd Computer Soon...

No problem man. I went through a lot of the same things when I built my rig earlier this year (Read: <a href="http://forums.techgage.com/showthread.php?t=402">Time for a New One</a>). Going from Socket A to a freshly released Opteron was a pleasent journey.

    Starting Somewhere~

I've been looking around, and found out about a Mini ITX board. They're roughly 170mm x 170mm and are almost a full feature board. I don't want to resort to buying because they're almost $200. For this case I'm going to leave the fans out of and just make sure it all works properly. When I get...

    Building my 2nd Computer Soon...

Yeah, you should be able to use the full SATA II or 3Gb/s speed with the drive. Once you've removed the jumper, and plugged it in, you shouldn't have any difficulty.

*1 - I'm thinking of running all of the cords through a hole at the bottom and then through a piece of 2" tubing (conduit). There is a usb/sound header I stole from my old case that I'd like to implement into the side for expansion. *2 - Goto 4 *3 - That's probably what will happen. Don't need...

I don't have the finances to do a "Top of the line", "Beast". Right now it looks as if it's just going to be a basic computer. Like I mentioned before, my brother and sister are probably going to get it. More than likely it'll just end up as their school computer. Don't think I haven't...

    Starting Somewhere~

Oh man, if you only knew. This case is becoming more and more crowded every minute. That's preliminary spacing. And yes.. that's a gutted PSU. I haven't decided if I'm going to put plexi around it for protection, or leave it as it is, yet. Right now I'm looking for slim 90mm fans. The inch...

Thanks Craig! Like I said, just getting ideas on paper, and looking, measuring. I'll have a better idea of how it'll all go together the longer I think and plan. I do have a few definite ideas, and I'll discuss a couple with you to get some feedback. Thanks for the support man!

Thanks, and yeah I'm sure I'll need tips and advice from TD as I progress. Right now I'm just thinking about the pieces I want to include that will set it apart. Which options and possibilities are open, and how I can implement my ideas. I don't plan on getting heavily started until the...

Definitely not trying to steal any spotlight from Tech-Daddy, but I've been thinking over my own custom case. I work for a company that builds switchboards and breaker panels/racks, for large boats. A couple weeks ago we had a component come in a fiberglass enclosure. The innards were removed...

Project : DST (Dallas Stars Tribute)

As always man, awesome work. Real creative with those pucks! I like that. Your recovery is the most important thing. I hope everything turns out alright. Both with the project, and your ankle. I've had some ankle problems myself, and know how much of a pain it can be. Looks like you've done an...

    Logitech MX Revolution Laser Mouse

The life-span of a rechargeable battery varies with each application, and use. Logitech has not released the information regarding the life-span of their Revolution batteries. It's not listed on the website or product box. I looked up some information on Lithion-Ion batteries, the type used in...

MSN: IRS taxation of online game virtual assets inevitable

Just shows you at what lengths the government is willing to go. Wanting to tax you for a piece of digital property.. one that could be wiped out in an instant. Something that has no "real world" value at all. Way. To. Friggin. Go.

    Logitech Precision PC Gaming Headset

I did have 98, and 98SE, and don't remember the problem with 98. It could be that I didn't have one of the earliest releases. I just never had that problem. Oh, and I still have the 2 install disks around here somewhere. :) :D lol

Lunix is a killer. :( I loved the whole "AMD is an exclusive hacker processor" and, "trying to get away from AOL and onto some HACKER isp".

    Logitech Precision PC Gaming Headset

Um, sorry Offender. I didn't know we had "Logitech Customer Care & Support" in our name. I'll be sure to get that changed. I never once had a problem with any of my USB Logitech mice while using Windows 98 or SE. I used current drivers, set it up, and fragged.

    Logitech Chillstream Gamepad

Oooh.. forgot about this thread. I haven't used one of these, but I have used a PS2 controller with a similar option. A fan circulated air to the fingers and palms through the grips. It was nice for those long course races in Gran Turismo.

Tell Me What PC parts to get

Tater pretty much covered what you need to know.. We've got a more than a couple previous D-I-Y builds on the forum you can look at. No, they're not the latest, but that's just your call. Some of the rigs previously built for $15-1800, can now be built for around $1000. The only thing I can't...
