Cool, I'll keep an eye on it.

    SilverStone TJ09

Oh, quick question. How well do you think it would handle water cooling? Was there space enough to layout the pump, res, etc, in an effective manner?

    SilverStone TJ09

That really is a good looking case. I think the brushed aluminum look is nice, but agree it's hard to keep clean. It's better than a gloss finish, I think. SilverStone was definitely innovative with the duct work, and I was impressed at how effective it is. This is definitely a "designer"...

    first timmer clocker

Oh, you're talking about the actual date and manufacturing coding. Mine's a CABGE somethin somethin. He'd have to remove the heatsink to find that out. If you're up for it Kronaz, take a peak.

The Venice cores have the E3 stepping. My Opteron 150 has the Venus core and is E4.

    first timmer clocker

With your cpu running so cool, I wouldn't doubt you could get higher 2Ghz range. 3GHz is a lot to ask for from the Venice chip. It will all depend on the quality of the chip build, and your ram. If you have ram capable of at least 300MHz (PC4800, DDR600), you may be able to get close. I'm...

    Ha...Go Colts!

I just want to be the first to congratulate the Colts on here. It was a good match up with both sides fighting hard. Some rough tough dirty playing. Good game. Way to go Colts!

    Windows Vista Version Comparison

You read correctly. Home Premium doesn't have Remote Desktop functionality. I'm can't say Vista will support this program, but <a href="https://secure.logmein.com/">LogMeIn</a> offers the same security and features of the Remote Desktop function. I've known a few who've used it, and enjoy it's...

    Logitech G11 Gaming Keyboard

I took the liberty of downloading ACTool and browsed through the commands. So, YES, if you use ACTool and it's looping controls, you CAN loop a macro.

    Logitech G11 Gaming Keyboard

That's a guess. The macro would only work by the expressions the game supports. I'm only assuming it's a game you're talking about. But yeah, I'm sure there's some way to macro a simple program to a key. Just have a label at the start and then some way to loop it back to that point.

Intel's 45nm Process And The First Signs Of Penryn

I certainly hope so... Intel's been tearing up the cours as of late, and we haven't seen any new recruits from AMD yet. I wouldn't count em out though. AMD has some great architectual designers, and we're bound to be amazed at what they offer.

    The ultimate memory cooler?

With the setup of the DFI Lanparty board, the cpu fan does a decent job of cooling a ram chip. Airflow tends to go over the first slot and does nothing for the other. I've got a pair of OCZ Gold chips, and the perforated design already lends itself to very effective cooling. I don't have a...

    Logitech G11 Gaming Keyboard

I'm sure you could have a start label and an if function... start Lbl 1 perform if key F = 1 goto 2 if key F = 0 goto 1 lbl 2 stop Something like that.. ?

    Windows Startup sound prank

Break, previously Big-Boys, has long been a favorite site of mine. Comperable to College Humor, I find it a better site overall. I had a pack of original Star Wars sounds that I used on my pc back in the day. It's fun what you can do with the startups and stuff. I kinda feel bad for the poor...

    Windows Vista System Performance Reports

To the last, what.. 6 posts? If you managed to get through the whole article and read the "Final Thoughts" section, you'd find that he isn't recommending anyone upgrade to Vista, yet. It's been clearly stated that Vista runs more processes than XP, the system he's using is fairly new, AND he...

    Windows Vista System Performance Reports

Good update, Rob. Nice to see Vista isn't terribly taxing in its final version. Numbers are very close, and most probably won't notice the difference. I'd say your system is better than midrange though. Most people don't have better than a 7600, unless you're a gaming enthusiast. More and more...

Should you buy Vista Ultimate? ...and TPM

That brings up a good point. Most people won't even be using Vista until they upgrade their home computer. Why pay $2-400 just for an OS, when I can go out and buy a new pc pre-loaded with it? Right now, I don't see myself updating until DX10 takes precedent. Until then, I plan on using XP. It...
