Where are all the Fermi haters now?

I have to agree now. There is no justification for upgrading and there is little in the way of innovation that screams "BUY ME!". I still stand by the thought that these cards will sell out FAST, but only the fanboys will line up for them. It's sad really, as stated already, there is little...

Where are all the Fermi haters now?

OOPS!!!!!!!! I did mean the 5850/5870 series cards Tharic-Nar. I agree Relayer as well on what you are posting. Nvidia is in a tough spot and they put all their eggs in the Fermi basket.

Where are all the Fermi haters now?

Well, there real problem is that ATI has artificially been able to get a price premium out of their HD4850/4870 cards with the lack of anything new from Nvidia. I also don't expect the MSRP for Fermi to come close to what we are used from Nvidia upon launch (read: far less than we expect) so...

    Logitech Cordless Precision PS3 Controller

I'm no real help other than to state I bought one of these for my PS3 for my kids for Christmas and have yet to run into an issue. I kinds wish I got an official Sony unit, but I do love my Logitech peripherals. Try sending Logitech a support ticket and you may get some official hep.

Looking for suggestions for heatsinks to review

Keep the suggestions coming, I really want to wrap up a list within the next few days as it takes a bit of time to get everything in. Thanks for the input so far!

Where are all the Fermi haters now?

Well, as the launch of Fermi nears, the level of hatred around the web towards Nvidia seems to exponentially multiply daily. The same people that a mere 3 months ago told us how superior GTX 260/275/280/285/295 was are now the ones in the front of the mob holding the torches to burn the dreaded...

    Leaked gtx 470 /480 pictures :)

I don't see how this really matters much. The initial release is not going to be huge anyways and the second wave is sure to take hold. All I see is the people openly bashing Fermi are finally quieting down because the launch is near and it just may not be nearly as bad as hyped and if it is...

Looking for suggestions for heatsinks to review

Multiple TIMs would make things difficult. Same with lapping. I use one set type of TIM and lapping is just not done by the majority of users. I prefer to use the actual heatsink as they are pulled from the package. As for methodology and CPU, we do realize that all are not equal, but they...

Looking for suggestions for heatsinks to review

Hey guys, I am getting a list together of the parts I think people want to see tested and thought it would be very wise to ask our readers as to which ones they want to see. Please post you suggestions and comments as well. I am looking for as much feedback as possible here.

Is there such a thing as a GOOD budget racing wheel/pedal/shifter

I sure wish I didn't miss this one the first time around. THere are no good units sub $100 right now. Your only real hope is to look on KIJIJI or Craigslist or even Ebay for a used Logitech MOMO if you want a good wheel for that budget. All the other units out under $100 are basically garbage...

    Who really cares about eyefinity?

Finding 3 1080p projectors for under $5000 would be a feat in itself. I still prefer using 3 largescreen LCD/plasma TV's as have a 47"+ center screen would negate the problem with bezels completely to the average person's eye. I've played on 3 22" screens and it only takes the mind about 5-10...

    Who really cares about eyefinity?

I care about Eyefinity. I'd LOVE to get a good setup going as us driving game nuts get an insane experience running a setup like this. There is a guy on Google running 3 47"plasma TVs with Eyefinity and it is simple AWESOME!

    vista boot problem maybe?????

As a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan, I 110% love and support your avatar!!! I just laughed my ass off looking at it closely for the first time! As for the updates, I have had that issue and they seem to eventually fix themselves most of the time. I realize this is a crappy answer, but that has...

    Windows 7 Sound Driver problem!

I have had both Vista and Windows 7 install a SOund Blaster LIVE 24-bit card without my intervention. In fact, they even installed all of Creative's software and the card worked fine under both OS's. There is another issue.

So is the 5770 like the top selling card in the world now?

It truly depends on Nvidia pricing. If their board partners don't rape their customers, the Green Team should come in at good pricing causing ATI to drop prices.

So is the 5770 like the top selling card in the world now?

If you ask me, they saturate the market well enough to give us excellent choices when even a few more dollars is a deal breaker. I do agree that so many models can lead to some confusion, of course, but they atleast offer alot of great budget choices. I also prefer AMD's decision to not rehash...

So is the 5770 like the top selling card in the world now?

I love mine. Plays everything I can throw at it, including DIRT2, at med-hi/hi settings with 4XAA or more. It is an awesome budget card for those that cannot afford the $300+ 5850/5870.

NVIDIA Teases with Tessellation Performance on GTX 480

Irrational fanboyism will dictate the sales of these cards if they are truly $200+ overpriced. If they are closer to the real price that is forecast then enthusiasts will join in the fray. Any way you look at it, these cards are gonna sell because there is a giant market just waiting for them...

Is NVIDIA's GF100 Broken and Unfixable?

The strangest part of video card fanboyism is that it is the most prevalent amongst all PC peripherals. No other component has such a love hate following. I know my ATI-ism is irrational and makes no sense. I have purposely bought lesser performing cards plenty of times in my life and even I...

NVIDIA Teases with Tessellation Performance on GTX 480

It is classic Nvidia to release as little as possible before a major launch. They want all that suspense and as I state in most threads like this, Nvidia has little to prove to the Green army who are just salivating at the chance to have these cards. They are not a tough sell, no matter the...
