How important is overclocking to you?

I can't say I even bother overclocking much anymore. I don't even run benchmarks other than the parts I review for Techgage. In fact, the PC I use for Techgage is the only PC in my house that ever sees an overclock.

    5770 vs 4870?

I would not call it grossly overpriced. It is priced exactly where the market allows it which makes it about 10-20% higher than we would like to see it. The lack of competition is really showing and we won't see a price drop any time soon, that's for sure. I can find HD5770 1Gb cards for...

    5770 vs 4870?

I went from a HD4830 512MB to a HD5770 1GB and seeing how I run 1920X1200 I did notice a nice increase. With prices coming down all the time, they are the best possible budget cards.

    CONSOLE WARS!

I would prefer the experience although I never considered an emulator.

    CONSOLE WARS!

No restrictions. I will have another Super Nintendo one of these days. I keep getting outbid on Ebay when I have the spare cash to get one. Super Mario Bros 1,2,3 are my all time favorites.

    CONSOLE WARS!

I've always been a die hard SOny PS fan and probably always will be. I can't say I have even given any other console a chance since my Super Nintendo. If I were to buy another it would undoubtedly be the Wii since I LOVE Mario games. XBox has just never appealed to me. My PS3 is used...

    Heatsink testing methodology

OK, after having a night to sleep on this, here is my one and only reply to what this thread has degenerated into. Personal attacks on internet forums are just no way to go about getting your point across. While I do not let such methods truly bother me, it is just distasteful that these...

Im going to drop some dough on a PC

I don't like the idea of buy 2 older midrange cards and running them in SLI when you can spend the same amount of money on a HD4830/HD4850 that will be far faster and alot more current. Otherwise it isn't too bad.

CoolIT ECO A.L.C. Liquid CPU Cooler

No the ECO pulls air out of the case through the radiator. You can always tell which way a fan pulls as they always pull through the open end of the fan itself past the bracket and fan motor.

NVIDIA Lists Chassis Recommendations for GTX 480 Use

There are already a few limited edition chassis that are either ATI Crossfire certified or Nvidia SLI certified and come appropriately colored as well.. They tend to cost slightly more as well.

NVIDIA Lists Chassis Recommendations for GTX 480 Use

Funny thing is I swore it WAS the Antec chassis, lol. Anyhow, it is no surprise they would recommend those chassis. I would recommend them to ANYONE using high end stuff since they are the best design to protect your hardware and provide the best cooling environment possible.

Apple Introduces Mobile Ads with iPhone OS 4.0

While I am not the biggest fan of ads, you can't get everything for free in life and I completely agree that as long as it is mostly unobtrusive, who cares. As for in game ads, there are plenty of current titles that have ads. Even my beloved Trackmania has in game ads that are geographically...

    Heatsink testing methodology

Our market is not in scientifically testing heatsinks. Our aim is to show the reader how well it performs on setup X and give that data so the reader can make a judgement decision as to how said headsink will work on their personal setup. While I am sorry you feel we are not testing properly...

    Heatsink testing methodology

Lucky for me I do all my testing in my basement. Near constant 68F year round, only varies by 2 degrees +/-. Also, we have a dehumidified/humidifier system that keeps the humidity constant around 60%. I am using the Zalman GS 1000 chassis for all tests. It has a single intake fan on the...
