    Logitech G51 Gaming Surround Speakers

Very nice review, Rory. I always learn something new when you take apart a speaker and describe its features. More so now since I saw an episode of 'How it's Made' detailing a speaker assembly. I'm really liking the control hub on that set - I have an older set of Z's similar to the Z-5500's...

    Planar 24-inch PX2411W Wide-Screen

Dude, you're getting a Sony FW900. I got mine for $140 from a friend of mine who got 4 at once on an Ebay auction for $550. It is arguably the best CRT ever made. I run most of my games at 1920x1200@85hz. Of course, if you can't easily lift 100lbs, an LCD monitor might be a better idea.

Look on the bright side - at least it wasn't a Thermochill radiator. :) Good luck fixing it.

    Soccer and guns.

There is nothing in the photo that indicates what the area is. You assume that it isn't a large square full of people or a high value target. Also, out of curiosity, how many soldiers would you group together on a routine patrol through a potentially hostile area?

    Soccer and guns.

A nice shot of some US soldiers hanging out with the locals. I guess this must be what US Soldiers do they do when they aren't 'Going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing women and children' or committing genocide, according to some.

    Crysis Single Player Demo

Impressive I played through this last night and enjoyed it quite a bit. The suit abilities are a very nice touch; it adds a lot to the game play in terms of style and options, which IMHO will act to increase replay value drastically. Even without DX10, the graphics are very impressive, with...

    OCZ Equalizer Laser Gaming Mouse

Unfortunately I can't yet comment on the Vista issue, but it should work for both XP and XP 64bit. I'm using the A4tech X750BF, which is the same mouse marketed under a different name, and it's worked flawlessly with both XP versions. The drivers are fairly simple yet robust, so I would...

    Logitech G15 Revision 2

MyLCD / WVS compatability - dancing lights does not work at this point Ok, here's another tidbit that people might like to know. The newest version (3.06) of MyLCD works with Logitech's new drivers (2.01), HOWEVER, the dancing lights feature appears to be completely non-operational on the new...

    Antec Nine Hundred

Woops. Missed this one completely. Actually I pretty much hate all fan controllers currently available on the market except for the Sunbeam Rheobus. The reason for this is that most fan controllers feature fancy-shmancy screens or ten billion channels or whatever, but only support like 7W per...

    Antec Nine Hundred

No fanless kit is going to cool two video cards and a quad. If you're thinking of buying a kit in order to water cool, don't. Use either high end air, or build your own water loop(s). Petrastechshop.com sells some pre-assembled Swiftech kits that will perform well, but you'd need AT LEAST a...

    Logitech G15 Revision 2

Sometimes it takes more than buttons. For instance, unless Razer's drivers for the Reclusa and Tarantula have been updated, the macro length is limited to 8 commands, including time delays. Ouch. Also, to prevent any confusion in advance, the LED modification linked at the end of the review...

    Logitech G15 Revision 2

Thanks. It's nice to have a computer again. I'd call the new G15 a slightly more focussed spin on a fantastic general purpose keyboard, with some nice added software functionality (still in beta, I think) that can be used for either device. I'm looking forward to seeing what the script...

    ASUS Maximus Formula Special Edition

I can't comment on the motherboard, but it sounds to me like you need to remount your heat sink. When you say 'using a Noctua' what exactly are you talking about - a full HSF assembly made by Noctua or some other heatsink with a Noctua 120mm fan?

    ASUS Maximus Formula Special Edition

I would like to know how the heat sink is attached to the board - in some pictures it looks like typical black plastic push-pins with springs, but on the NB block it looks like actual screws may have been used - can you clarify this? Also, (this may seem overly paranoid) how sure are you that...

    Nigerian Man Builds Homemade Helicopter

[/INDENT] What?! If that guy can make a 133hp motor lift a helicopter 39' long x 23' high x 16' wide, I think he deserves the Nobel for physics. Either that's the wrong picture, or someone used the wrong units.

Deal is alive again at SVC.com I cou'dn't be more pleased with this unit - it is completely inaudible over my Yates even when the system is under full load. Only downside is the cable-management required.

    FutureShop of Horrors.

If you're on a budget, but want a large screen and don't mind a CRT, I heartily recommend trying to get your hands on a Sony FW900. This thing is arguably the best CRT ever made, and has a 24" widescreen Trinitron tube. It weighs close to 100lbs, too. The nice part is that they're getting...
