    Winchester AMD64 processor. Thermalright XP-90 heatsink. 2.7 ghz. Memory is <b>not</b> running 1:1. Voltage is 1.58 volts.

    You get an unfair advantage that way? Your desktop PC probably has a faster video card then a laptop. If I played you in a game like that, I would blame it on the laptop when I lost ;) ;)

    How much is too much for a video card?

    Well I can not speak for the others, but I said I was willing to spend $300 because I get a couple years of enjoyment out of it. Cheaper then paying for a movie each week in the long run, and games last more then 2 hours each.

    Buying a buggy motherboard is a bad idea. Motherboard is like the heart of your computer, and you don't want to waste time and trouble with dealing with a buggy board.

    64-Bit Windows

    Not dead. It just isn't practical or realistic yet. Hopefully when Vista comes out it will be practical then, and everyone who purchased an AMD for 64 bit can begin using the 64 bit features on it.

    Is the <u>only</u> reason you mod to show off? Very curious if you mod for any <u>practical</u> purposes. For example, modding to improve air flow in the case or modding to improve cooling. Or modding to get better overclocking?

    Probably won't run in dual channel. The original socket 939 chips did not support dual channel mode on 1gb dimms.

    You sure about that? Redhat stopped distributing the free version and focused on a paid only version. Other companies may follow the same plan.
