I got two questions about my post to this thread. I may as well answer them both in one post. I called it Symantec because that is what the person who started this thread and who was asking for help called it. He referred to it as antivirus (symantec). I'm assuming that he is using Norton...

I read what andanton wrote, and he seems to make a valid point. Why might it be a bad idea to have the certification, even if you don't need it? Does it cost a lot of money to take the test and get certified? Or does it cost nothing?

I think it stands for Xtreme Performance System. It is Dell's high-end system. They can be pretty nice computers.

Wouldn't dead pixels always be black in color? Since if the pixel is not getting any power, then it would not turn on, and thus it would remain black. How could a dead pixel be white in color?

My roommate uses a Rosewill LCD monitor, and it has excellent picture quality. He had it for a year.

I'm willing to spend as much as $300 for a card. Not willing to go over that much. Also, I expect and demand to get a few good years of game use out of a card when I spend that much.
