    27 days uptime

You can't disable the feature I am talking about. What I am referring to is -after- you perform updates. Some updates require you reboot your computer in order to complete itself, which is why it nags you. It doesn't have anything to do with being an auto-update, but rather will strike you...

    ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe WiFi Edition

I agree... it may not be completely useless. I would just expect it to have a more popular design maybe... I don't know. As for a beer resistant PC, I am not sure about that. I know that's something Greg here could benefit from :-D

    Steve Irwin dead

I'm glad to see so many opinions and thoughts on this. He was definitely a stature in many ways. As a side note, is it just me, or does that website I link to have no journalism skills whatsoever? It felt like reading a 3rd grade essay.

    ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe WiFi Edition

Thanks for the comments dloneranger... Regarding the chipset fan... I do run a water cooling rig but fail to see why exactly it would matter. It clips perfectly on the heatsink, and in the manual it shows a solution with two of them... one on each appropriate area. As for the microphone, I...

    27 days uptime

Auto Update -- One of the most annoying things I have ever experienced regarding computers. I have no clue what idiot thought that a nag screen popping up every fifteen minutes would be a great idea.

    ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe WiFi Edition

I can't see how it could. The only openings is on the bottom, where air blows onto the chipset, and on each side of the fan. After turning it on, I couldn't feel air blowing out either side of the fan. I fail to really understand how it sucks cool air in, either. I could be analyzing it wrong...

    27 days uptime

Towards the beginning of August, I had wanted to see how long I could go without a reboot on my main machine. Once I hit 6 days, the power was nice enough to go out to screw me up rather quickly. Well, I have hit 27 days uptime. I don't consider that too bad for a machine I use ~14 hours a day...

    Steve Irwin dead

Aye, he did seem like a great guy. His passion for animals was evident, and you have to respect him for all he's done. I used to watch his shows all the time... he is incredibly knowledgable. "Apparently they say he died quickly" I also heard it was instant... incredible what a -stingray- can...

    Steve Irwin dead

THE Crocodile Man, Steve Irwin, is dead. He was killed in a freak accident in Cairns, police sources said. It appeared that he was killed by a sting-ray barb that went through his chest, Queensland Police Inspector Russell Rhodes said. He was swimming off the Low Isles at Port Douglas where he...

    Terabyte of RAM?

Yes for sure. For that price I'd rather a nice desktop and a car to carry it with, lol.

    Nero 7 Ultra Edition

AVC is Advanced Video Compression. It essentially will take twice as long to compress the video, but it will end up being smaller. I am unsure whether this is a Nero specific feature or not, but it should be included in without a seperate license. It could be that AVC is designed for Nero...

    Terabyte of RAM?

Looks incredibly shady to me, I would not remotely consider it. 1TB of ram doesn't make any sense... -nobody- needs that. Big massive powerful servers don't have 1/20th of that. I think they mean 1TB of HDD space... optical though as opposed to a standard hard drive.

I agree. Seems like a fun device to use to see how much wattage your PC really pushes at full load.

    Arctic Cooling Silentium T2

Hey Peter, Hmm... I do think it would be a tight squeeze. I never used the HDD box because a few pieces broke off, so I was unable. I'd assume that it would fit, but it would definitely be a tight squeeze by the looks of things.

    Flashing bios gone terribly wrong

Welcome to the forums :-) There is a jumper near the battery... three pins but the jumper covers two. You can move the jump to cover the middle pin and the other pin that's currently not covered. Boot up and let it go for a few minutes. To be honest, I'd turn the machine on and off a few times...

Gadgets. Any geek worth his salt lives to surround himself with them. Some are useful while some are decorative while others are just...well, odd. Today we take a look at a useful gadget that just might answer some questions the next time you look at your power bill and ask yourself "Where...

All I can say is... this is so going to be worth a DX10 video card and Windows Vista. /sarcasm http://www.bungie.net/Games/Halo2Vista/gallery.aspx?gallery=Screenshots&page=1
