    Top 8 Vista Annoyances

Ahh, I see. You have a rather "bizarre" hard drive set up compared to most people. I don't deal with RAID at all, which is why I've not likely run into any problems. You reminded me of one thing I do hate with even the XP boot loader though. As far as I know, you need to boot with the install...

    Should you buy Vista Ultimate?

Hey Unregistered, Excuse my ignorance because I've never really dealt with XP Home at all. If there is something you'd like me to check specifically, let me know and I can do so. Just give me a general idea of where to look, since I've never dealt with Group Policy Editors before. I've never...

    Top 8 Vista Annoyances

Hey Dark][Angel, I've installed Vista many times and have never run into any of the problems you mentioned. I do recall running into similar issues with XP though. I am sure it will happen to me some day... just a matter of when. As for the drive letters change, I don't believe...

    Top 8 Vista Annoyances

That's one thing I was going to mention, but decided not to. It would be literally easier to explain GRUB to someone than Vistas boot loader. It's just... blah. Why did they do things this way?

    Top 8 Vista Annoyances

I've been using Vista frequently since it lost it's Longhorn code name. During that time, I've found one annoyance after another that just makes me ask, "Why did they do this?!" Read on to share my gripes and maybe even agree with me. You can read the full article here and discuss it here.

    Ha...Go Colts!

Big congrats to the Colts... that is one team that well deserves a victory. Prior to the game, I did not expect Indy to come out on top. I'm sorry, but the game didn't start off in their favor. But wow, what a finish! Meeting up with my friend tomorrow who's a huge Patriots fan... this is...

    AGEIA at CES

We had a good meeting with AGEIA earlier this month and they had some new stuff to show. Greg will be publishing an article shortly that goes into greater detail, so you can look forward to that. I've just uploaded the four main videos they showcased there though, which shows the progress of...

    Tagan TG1100-U95 1100W Power Supply

Thanks for the detailed explanation Jakal, that will require me to re-read when I'm not buzzed. Thanks also Matt, it makes more sense to me now. The Tagan rep was talking so fast, I didn't get to comprehend it that well, heh.

    List of HDCP-compliant Video Cards

Out of curiosity, I heard that some cards on the market that stated they support HDCP, actually don't. Are any of these cards on this list? I wish I remembered who/where I seen that.

Seagate Savvio 15K - Next Gen Enterprise Drive?

Seagate announced a new addition to their Savvio lineup earlier this week, the 15K. These new drives boast impressive specs all around, including the fact that it's contained in a 2.5" frame. Even though these are the fastest drives available on the market, they use far less power than their...

    Corsair 1GB TWIN2X1024-8500

Thanks for commenting on a review that's 7 months old. I have not one, but two systems that blow the one mentioned in that review out of the water. Thanks for your professional, know-all advice though.

    ASUS EAX1950PRO 256MB

I no longer have the card to verify, but I recall the card being very, very quiet as are most with that type of cooler. If it was louder than normal I would have mentioned it, but I don't believe it was. Sorry I don't recall any more than that.

    Tagan TG1100-U95 1100W Power Supply

Here is a question for Matt. We talked to Tagan at CES, and they showed us a similar model to this, except it had a switch on that back that could toggle between 5 separate +12v rails or 1 80a +12v rail. Now generally, I thougt that there was no real such thing as "separate" rails, instead...
