    Computer scares?

Ouch, that sucks. It's kind of the reason I don't want to screw with a RAID setup. I've screwed up a drive before.. I know I'll do it again.

    Windows Vista System Performance Reports

Thanks for the comments and criticism guys. My last article dealt with direct performance increase/decrease, so that's what I had in mind when I came around to writing this follow up. I like the idea of the startup time/network speed/et cetera. More importantly, I'd like to get ahold of a...

    Windows Vista Version Comparison

I do agree with you, I will add a small side note beside that factor. I don't think it was misleading though... it's just how people read it. It's against Dual CPU's, not Dual Core CPU's. Still, I find the fact that it wouldn't worth with Dual CPUs to be foolish.

    Nikon S10 6.0MP Digital Camera

Hi Ruud, The lens that the camera uses is 6.3-63mm, that's the optical zoom. Anything past 63mm is using the digital zoom meaning the lens is not the one doing the work, it's the computer inside the camera. I'm not sure how familiar you are with cameras, but optical zoom results in better...

    Top 8 Vista Annoyances

Well, they do, it's just not perfect. ACDSee is one program that won't function at all, for example. HD Tach and HD Tune were others that didn't want to run, but the backwards compatibility feature helped it function. There were other programs I ran that ended up crashing though... Nero Recode...

    Top 8 Vista Annoyances

Are you referring to the Half-Life 2 not working? The game that Vista itself automatically added a link for? It's my duty as a writer to inform people about problems. Fact is, there are still many applications that will not work under Vista. People should not be jumping into the new OS assuming...

    Windows Vista System Performance Reports

I think it's due to the fact that Vista automatically has many system services running at a given time. While WinXP had about 25, Vista had something like 40. I can upload photos showing the differences... I had forgot to include them.

    Windows Vista System Performance Reports

Well, that is true. I didn't have a system slow enough for an even lower-end range system though, sadly. Unless I underclocked both the CPU and GPU, heh.

    Windows Vista Version Comparison

Hey Chris, I don't think I understand what you mean exactly, or what's the problem. The software is for your PALM right, for syncing purposes? Have you tried to install the software under your MCE, or does it give an error? I just don't understand why it would not work under your version of...

    Windows Vista System Performance Reports

Does performance suck on Vista when compared to XP? That's what I was set out to find out. I was worried at first, since the performance in Beta 2 was quite bad. While there is indeed a performance decrease, it's quite minimal as you'll find out. You can read the article here and discuss it here!

    Windows Vista Version Comparison

Does this PALM software require a handheld to be tested? I could test install some software if I don't need the handheld. I fail to understand why the software does not work with MCE though. MCE is essentially XP Professional with a few add-ons. I do find that foolish though. Just let me know...

Should you buy Vista Ultimate? ...and TPM

I doubt Microsoft will stop supporting XP for a while. As far as I know though, they -could- stop supporting it now I believe. From what I recall, each product they release has a 5 year support agreement, and for XP, that's already done with. As for pricing, I have -no- idea who would run out...

    Windows Vista Version Comparison

Not sure.. I will see what I can find out. I have a special version DVD with 32-Bit versions only, so I can't confirm anything. But... I believe you are right. Maybe that's why the OEM's are so cheap? I'm going to be looking into this. In essence, that would mean Quad FX owners -have- to buy...

    Arctic Cooling Silentium T2

I will consider this, although I have an overwhelming amount of content on the go right now. I will take a look at the new version and see what it offers in comparison to this one though. As for power efficiency... I will have to look into that one also. If I have the right equipment, it...

AMD M2.. What We Know So Far

Well, I reviewed a CPU cooler that came with really crappy thermal paste. So, when I removed the CPU cooler, it literally pulled the CPU straight out of the socket with it. That's how mine got bent.
