    Seagate FreeAgent Pro 750GB

Sounds like it's a problem with your motherboard, not the FreeAgent. First thing I would check is to make sure your motherboards BIOS is up to date. Past that, I am not really sure. It really sounds like a motherboard issue though.

    anyone has 20" LG?

$280 for a 22" widescreen monitor is expensive? All of the shopping sites I see for the L204WT-SF show it more expensive than that. You don't seem to be that fussy, so I say go for it. You normally get what you pay for. Make sure it has DVI input so that things are crisp and clean. I've had...

    iPhone thoughts

It's smaller to use, but it's still bigger than most cell phones for storage. I mean, throwing that thing into your pocket is going to hog up a lot of room. Of course, people could be douchebags and wear it on their belt. It's still bulky to me. I might feel differently if I had one to hold onto.

    iPhone thoughts

Nothing on the iPhone has impressed me really. What will make it is all of the third party applications. I don't care if it plays video or if it moves to landscape mode when I turn it... I wouldn't watch movies on something that small. The biggest bitch about the iPhone is the locked providers...

Customer calls out service rep on $6,500 estimate

It's not unheard of to have some scumbag auto mechanic charge you more than they should, or fix things that are not broken, but here's proof that it can just as easily happen with luxury cars as well, such as Mercedes. <object height="392" width="464"> <embed...

    CoolIT Cooling Accessories Roundup

We all know CoolIT as the manufacturers of the high-performing peltier-powered CPU coolers, and while these products are their bread and butter, they also have a line-up of 'cool' accessories. We are taking a look at their PCI slot cooler, RAM fan and also their USB-powered beverage cooler. You...

    Nightmare at Reagan National Airport

Here's a story that you will want to avoid if you get pissed off easily. This woman went through Reagan National Airport, only to be harassed and detained (effectively helping her miss her flight), all because her 19-month old son had a sippy cup with some water in it. "I demanded to speak to a...

Would you buy a car from this woman?

Of course. It wasn't a serious question :P I don't think many of us live around where they sell SEAT cars regardless.

Would you buy a car from this woman?

Meet Audra Baltrukonyte. She's a 21-year-old Lithuanian model and student, who also happens to be a salesperson at MK SEAT in Milton Keynes. As the photo attests, Audra is a very pretty girl, and according to the PR folks at SEAT UK, she is an effective salesperson who frequently outperforms her...

    WiFi is completely unstable...

No two wireless connection managers can co-exist, there is only one Zero Config service to utilize, so they would essentially. There should be no problem in having two installed though. Normally whatever connection manager you will install will disable the Windows built-in manager. Maybe there...

    IBM outside the Box

I have absolutely no idea what good this is supposed to do. That, or I am completely overlooking the point of the entire invention. It sounds like they are just adding a riser to the DIMM slot. I can't see how anything is different from plugging in a stick of RAM and hauling it out when you are...

    WiFi is completely unstable...

I never install third party connection managers. I've never had a problem with ZC in the past so had no reason to look elsewhere. I never install a WiFi card with the included software, just installed the driver and was done with it.

    When drifting goes bad

    WiFi is completely unstable...

I gave up and all the PC's except one is on wired. It could be interference, I'm not sure. It just wasn't worth the trouble, especially to see a computer drop out from a connection when it's literally >3 feet from the router.

    ASUS A8JS 14inch Widescreen Notebook

I guess that all comes down to personal taste. Personally, I wish it had a slightly higher resolution. Especially while on the road, it's nice to be able to fit as much desktop area on your notebook as you can, without having to purchase a heavy 17" system.

    ASUS P5K Deluxe WiFi-AP

With the launch of Intel's P35 chipset, ASUS promptly released seven boards for you to choose from. A few weeks ago we had taken a look at the P5K3 and were left very impressed. Given the fact that the P5K is strikingly similar in specs, we hope to be left as equally impressed. You can read the...

    Dell UltraSharp 2707WFP 27-inch Wide-Screen

Hi Stretch, Heat is an odd one, I don't recall running into an issue like that. The backside of the monitor can hit upwards of 47C, but I never sat there thinking it was too hot. Granted, this room is 80F - 88F on any given day, so I might not have noticed it. I have a Samsung 275T here, which...
