Like EPP, I don't think XMP will list the settings in the BIOS, but instead, I believe that the tuning utility in Windows will show all of that. This will be dependent on the motherboard provider though. Intel is not releasing that software to the public because it requires perfect operation...

That in no way is Vista-exclusive. I have that problem with XP all the time. That is, if you are referring to how the folders change the views of the files you are looking at (thumbnail view, slideshow view, etc). It's annoying though, I'll give you that.
