Which 45nm benchmarks would you like to see?

Hi all,

For those unaware, Intel will be releasing their new 45nm processors on November 12th, which include both the dual-core and quad-core models. We've covered what's new pretty extensively in the past, so if you are still in the dark, we've somehow failed at our jobs.

Unlike recently launched "speed-bumped" processors, Nov. 12 will be bringing some interesting things to the table. 45nm, SSE4 and the High-K transistors are the biggest ones, with SSE4 being my particular favorite after what we we saw at IDF last month. For our review, the testing methodology will be quite similar to what you've seen before. Because of SSE4 though, we'll be adding DiVX to the mix, and anything else that becomes available by then.

That all said, we thought it would be a cool idea to see what -you- would like to see in our 45nm launch review. Which benchmarks/comparisons interest you most? We are talking clock-for-clock, FSB-for-FSB, core-for-core, Kentsfield vs. Yorkfield.

Of course, I can't guarantee that we can test everything, but we will do what we can, depending on time constraints and whether or not we have all of the applications required for testing. General questions that you want answered in the review are fine also.

Thanks all!
