If price isn't really an issue, maybe you could considering bumping up to an even better set of speakers. I can't really speak since I'm no audiophile, but at that price range, there might be far superior speakers for not that much more money.

I have not even heard of Ashampoo I don't think. I am not sure what could replace Nero for me. I even use it in Linux (though it's severely scaled back from the Windows version).

That's strange considering Nero modeled the latest version specifically around Vista, though I never tried it there myself.

NVIDIA is not about to jump on the DDR3 train... and it's a good thing. It's still far too expensive. X48 is still an Intel chipset so it will not support SLI. But the ultra-expensive Skulltrail will be based off of X48 and will support it. But again, it will be expensive. I have an ASUS board...
