    Geez, MySpace is huge...

For whatever reason, I thought MySpace and Facebook were on par, where web-traffic was concerned, but I couldn't have been more wrong with my assumptions. According to a new article at TechCrunch, Facebook owns 16.03% of the social-networking scene, while MySpace has 72.32%...

Yahoo! Picks Up on OpenID Standard

From our front-page news:It's not a simple task to unleash a new web-standard and hope that it catches on, but OpenID has just been awarded a huge win - Yahoo! is picking up on the technology. OpenID is a new web-standard for the typical login system. Instead of requiring a username/password, an...

Dell's 2408WFP Now Available, Packs High Color Gamut & DisplayPort

From our front-page news: You might recall a few months ago when Dell's new 3008WFP display was first discovered, and boy, was it about time. Up until that point, Dell's 30" monitors were somewhat lackluster. They looked great, but the connectivity was appalling, with a choice of DVI and...

ASUS to Roll Out Eee PC with Windows XP in Q1

From our front-page news: It's hard to deny that the Eee from ASUS has been a huge hit so far, and I've come to the conclusion that in order for a product to sell well, it needs to have a ridiculous name that's also short (Wii, Eee). But that aside, it also proves to be one of the most hackable...

RFID-Encrypted Hard Drive Enclosure - Perfect for Security Buffs

From our front-page news: It seems like RFID technology is being thrown around everywhere, and well, that's because it really is. It's now in everything from credit cards, to name badges, to car license plates (in Europe) to test papers and even people! Needless to say, not everyone likes the...

Proposed Canadian "iPod Tax" Dropped, Eh!

What do you mean, you don't have to pay taxes for anything? You live in Alberta, or some US State that doesn't have a sales tax? I have to deal with 13% here... it just went down from 14%. That's enough, heh.

Toshiba Slashes HD DVD Player Prices Once Again

I hope it will... or at least it dies off completely and they bring Fast & The Furious to Blu-ray, since that's the only player I am dealing with right now ;-) In all seriousness, I am not sure what will happen. Toshiba will not go down without a fight, and I'm sure Microsoft will jump in to...

    Top Gear Coming to America

To be honest, I watch little on TV in general, and especially on the BBC. Top Gear is just one of those special shows that I make sure I make time for. Even the re-runs are great. Even my family members like watching the show, and none of them are big car fans. So to come over to America... I...

    Microsoft Shouldn't Purchase Yahoo!

I am not sure the position of that affiliation right now, but I doubt it would effect such an acquisition, if Microsoft wanted to go ahead with it. Yahoo! is also affiliated with my ISP in Canada (Rogers). They always try to encourage using the special Rogers Yahoo! branded website.

    Solitaire

All copies of Vista include Solitaire as far as I am aware... just not the special games. I could be wrong though. I know that some don't install it by default, but it can be later added through Add/Remove.

    My city is happy!

Being a port city, there is a fair amount of drug use/selling going on here. It can all be avoided unless you know where everything takes place, though. Drugs can stay where they are, I'm perfectly happy with my beer.

Gizmodo runs amok with TV-B-Gone at CES

The fact that it got them a lot of traffic is what matters, I'm sure. It's not the first time they've pulled off stunts to get attention.

    Stompfest LAN 2008

But will you be willing to take them off? Great to hear about the LAN. Palit is kickass to sponsor the entire thing like that... what a great way to say <3 to the community. I've posted about this in the news and will continue to remind our readers about the event up until the date.

    Top Gear Coming to America

From our front-page news: I don't watch that much television, but one of the shows I make sure not to miss is Top Gear on the BBC. It offers a unique mix of car reviews with hilarious real-world tests, all while being delivered by some witty hosts. So with the success of the show overseas, it...

    CES 2008: Cars

Hah, thanks. I wish the photos came out a little better... it's so difficult to get "great" photos in an area where the lighting is so... undesirable. Is there good shows on the SPEED channel? I was thinking of subscribing, but never got around to it. As for Discovery, Boyd Coddington's show...
