    Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 4000

Ahh, interesting. Most USB keyboards I've had have included the adapter, but I suppose since this one runs through it's own receiver... it's a different story. If you have the packaging from another USB keyboard, it might have the adapter. Still not sure that will help though. Hope you can get...

    Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 4000

Hmm, that's interesting. The keyboard doesn't work at -all-? It should have come with a purple USB-to-PS/2 converter... I would try that out and see if you are still stuck with the same problem. If so, chances are that the keyboard is DOA.

    Logitech io2 Digital Writing System

I feel your pain... I really have no idea why Logitech doesn't shift some of the development team towards Vista for their older products. It's not like they have to do it all the time.. upgrade the drivers and be done with it...

Turtle Beach Ear Force AK-R8 Headphones

Good to hear. What game are you using them with?

Turtle Beach Ear Force AK-R8 Headphones

Thanks for the information Greyguy! I don't use TeamSpeak or similar programs, so I guess I was not bound to see the problem. I didn't have any issue with in-game chat, however. I also use a USB keyboard but connect via PS/2, which might be another reason why I didn't experience any issues...

    Bat Cave Home Theatre

I usually find these kinds of setups ridiculous and ugly, but this might be the first time I'd actually love to have something like this in my house. I don't care how much of a geek that makes me. This is damn cool. http://kotaku.com/337667/i-want-to-play-games-in-the-batcave

Razer has kept mum on the entire situation. Lame, really. I guess we'll learn more at CES.

Turtle Beach Ear Force AK-R8 Headphones

Turtle Beach is back with a new gaming headset, the USB based AK-R8. Unlike the HPA series, the AK-R8 includes its own sound card. On top of that, the software is robust, the feature set is solid and the sound can get LOUD. These headphones might just be what you are looking for. You can read...

Far Cry 2 in Spring of 2008

Sounds like a solid idea. Those plans should still last two years. The industry moves far too fast... even when you finish building a new machine, you feel out of date.

Far Cry 2 in Spring of 2008

How much eggnog have you been putting away Stork? andreich94, that system looks great. No system will ever be good for 3 - 4 years... 1 at best. Depends how high-end you want to stay. Even if you built a super-high-end machine right now, there's going to be something better next year.

Far Cry 2 in Spring of 2008

I am not sure I'd say games are finally catching up, because the only games to really show a huge benefit are all older titles: http://techgage.com/article/intel_core_2_extreme_qx9650_-_the_45nm_era_begins/10 In these tests, BioShock, Call of Juarez, Call of Duty 2, Lost Planet, Need for...

Far Cry 2 in Spring of 2008

Please don't spam the forums with the same question. I'd pick up a Q6600 far quicker than a dual-core. Just overclock it to the E6850s speeds.

    Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000

The long anticipated Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000 is here, but does it impress? The entire package does a fine job of looking good while offering solid functionality, but we found it lacks greatly in a few key areas. The most notable being the price... at $300. NVIDIA Launches 780i Enthusiast Chipset

The "ultimate" solution would be the 780i thanks to good SLI 3-way support, but as has been seen, even 680i can handle that with a BIOS update. I think you should go for whatever fits the budget. I am not sure what 780i boards are retailing for right now, but if they are high, it might make more...

    Rumor: AMD 9700 & 9900 Phenom Delayed Until Q2 2008

From our front-page news: According to industry news site DigiTimes, AMD has plans to delay their upcoming Phenom 9700 and 9900 processors from Q1 2008 to Q2 2008. Reasons are supposedly linked to the translation lookaside buffer (TLB) issue - one that they've been unable to solve without the...

    Megaman turns 20!

Not much can be said... except for... Mega Man 3 kicked major ass. I know a lot of people loved 2, but for some reason it was 3 that really grabbed my attention. It's too bad that the vast majority of MM games were horrible. http://kotaku.com/337139/megaman-turns-20
