I have the same CPU and managed to have it hit the same temperatures with water, at stock, so for a nice overclock and to be kept within reason is great. You also need to remember that this is pushing towards a good performance/silence ratio. Trying matching those same temps with that overclock...

USB 3.0 isn't wireless, so they are not exactly the same thing. But I know what you mean... Wireless USB couldn't interest me less. It shouldn't have taken this long to show face... now the adoption rate is excruciatingly slow.

No one needs 8GB of memory, but it's hard to resist when prices are THIS good. 4GB should be better all around either way, with latencies and the like.

I guess the last thing to check would be going into the keyboard configuration and making sure that those buttons are indeed set up to increase/decrease the volume. I really can't think of another solution, so it might be time to hit up Microsoft support :-/

The only thing I can think of is that there is another application installed that's messing with your keyboard configuration. Are you using anything that might effect that? Did you happen to try a different USB port as well? Seems unlikely that would make a difference at all, but stranger...
