    Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 4000

Ahh great to hear! Grats on getting it fixed :-)

Logitech Harmony One Advanced Universal Remote

I remember talking to them about this at CES... but I can't remember what the answer was. I think for some reason, the RF functionality was taken out, in order to leave it in tact on the even bigger Harmony models. I am not positive though, and will e-mail them shortly to see what the story is.

CoolIT PURE Silent Liquid CPU Cooler

I have the same CPU and managed to have it hit the same temperatures with water, at stock, so for a nice overclock and to be kept within reason is great. You also need to remember that this is pushing towards a good performance/silence ratio. Trying matching those same temps with that overclock...

    Benchmarking the Benchmarks?

I agree, but it's certainly nothing new with Kyle. Calling out sites specifically is in bad taste, but he's all about bad taste and doing whatever gets the site traffic. We certainly operate differently here. That said, I still agree that timedemos for the most part are not representitive of...

Dell offering Wireless USB in select notebooks...

USB 3.0 isn't wireless, so they are not exactly the same thing. But I know what you mean... Wireless USB couldn't interest me less. It shouldn't have taken this long to show face... now the adoption rate is excruciatingly slow.

OCZ Offers Up a Fast 4GB DDR2 Kit

No one needs 8GB of memory, but it's hard to resist when prices are THIS good. 4GB should be better all around either way, with latencies and the like.

NY Giants Win Superbowl, End Patriots Winning Streak

Hah, I missed that completely. Once the touchdown was made, they zoomed the camera in to Peyton going wild, but I don't recall seeing a girl in the picture. Would have been humorous though.

eBay Sellers Upset at New Rates

They lowered rates for some sellers, but upped it for others... namely those who sell high-value items. I really hate the fact that they charge you a fee based off the final-value fee. It should be a flat-fee. Selling something for a nice deal of money and being charged $30+ for it is whack...

    Cloverfield the movie

That's the problem with hype. It tends to build up to something completely worthless. Take Snakes On a Plane! for example. That had hype for months, and I haven't met anyone that enjoyed that movie.

    Brandy sucks...

I don't like many hard liquors, but been enjoying Tequila a little bit lately... it actually mixes well. Vodka is a sure-fire winner as well.

Best Buy, Netflix Both Shun HD DVD

From our front-page news: If you happened to have thought that things couldn't have gotten worse for HD DVD, then think again. Yesterday, there were two rather sizable announcements, both favoring big Blu. First is Best Buy, who've just made the decision to go pro-Blu-ray, but there's a...

    eBay Releases Updated Rate Information

From our front-page news: It's no secret that people are displeased with eBay's recently updated rate plan for sellers, but they are looking to help improve the situation with a few follow-up cuts. This will effect low-value items primarily, looking to completely overlook the people who would...

Banjo Kazooie 3 coming late 2008

In addition to chatting about Alan Wake and the Marvel MMO cancellation, Microsoft Games Studio head Shane Kim revealed to MTV's Stephen Totilo at last week's DICE summit that Rare's Banjo Kazooie 3 is slated for a 2008 release. Said Kim, "I'm super-excited about what they're doing with Banjo' I...

Logitech Harmony One Advanced Universal Remote

Logitech's Harmony division have put a lot of of effort into the One, so we put it to the test to see if it all paid off. In addition to the comfortable design and individually contoured buttons, the One features a large LCD screen, support for over 5,000 brands, a stylish charger and a...

    Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 4000

I guess the last thing to check would be going into the keyboard configuration and making sure that those buttons are indeed set up to increase/decrease the volume. I really can't think of another solution, so it might be time to hit up Microsoft support :-/

    Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 4000

The only thing I can think of is that there is another application installed that's messing with your keyboard configuration. Are you using anything that might effect that? Did you happen to try a different USB port as well? Seems unlikely that would make a difference at all, but stranger...

EA shipped 94 different versions of FIFA 08...

To be honest, I think it would work out well, as long as it's done right and well-thought-out prior to making the final decision. As mentioned by the Arsenal manager, it would have to be done for benefits to the game, not for financial gain. In truth, EPL has fans all over the world, with about...

    Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 4000

That's odd. Did you install the drivers that came with the keyboard? Even without those, the volume should work, though.

Yahoo! Rejects Microsoft, Contemplates Merger With... AOL?

From our front-page news: Yahoo! has been receiving a lot of press lately, thanks to the fact that they are looking to be bought up by a great company, or merge with another. Like the weather in my city, the potential deals are changing far too fast.. it's hard to keep up. Last week, we found...

    Benchmarking the Benchmarks?

From our front-page news: Kyle Bennett is no stranger to stirring the proverbial pot in the tech industry. He's a well-known gear-head who's not afraid to speak his mind - which is one reason he rubs so many people the wrong way. And while I may not agree with everything he says, there is one...
