    Q9300 is available

You said it. Those are the foolish ones! Heck, I remember two years ago when AMD was king, it was rare to see an enthusiast without an Opteron. Really, it's the exact same situation!

    Q9300 is available

Haha. The Xeon's would be a fantastic choice. Just look at how many people will wait until the Q9000... owning a Xeon makes you unique!

    Benchmarking High Scores

Looks like I'll throw this up tomorrow or late tonight. We'll see. Keep the scores written down ;-)

Intel Details Nehalem, Dunnington, Tukwila & Larrabee

I am not so sure about CUDA, either. The last time I heard about it was at the announcement. Not really, but it's been pretty damn quiet.

    Matrox TripleHead2Go Digital Edition

Ahh, a man who dislikes his ménage à trois. Kidding, I'm with you. I'd rather one really large monitor over three smaller ones, but each person has specific needs/wants.

    Not bad speeds

    I laugh at you.

    About the 3rd birthday contest

You will not be disqualified for that at all... our systems wouldn't even notice the difference, since you can only use any given e-mail address once.

    Matrox TripleHead2Go Digital Edition

With the digital edition of the TripleHead2Go, hooking up three LCD's via DVI and VGA is possible. This allows you to drastically increase your desktop space and/or improve your gaming. Best of all, you don't need to add a second GPU, and not even an additional power outlet is required! You can...

I think many people will agree with you, sbrehm, as disappointing as it may be.

    Q9300 is available

Thanks guys, I'll definitely put this knowledge to good use. Just an update from NCIX... although the Q9000 processors are still due to be delivered late this month, they expect to receive a shipment of Xeon-equivalents this week. So, if you can't wait to get on the 45nm bandwagon, this would...

    Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz - Wolfdale Arrives

Given that the temps were not really the issue, I don't believe you will have too much of a problem. I don't install the Intel stock coolers because I find them incredibly aggravating to install :-)

Five years? Haha, it will be outdated by then! ;-)

    Memtest86+ LAST VERSION : 2.01

Implementing one is simple. You just need to download a splashscreen graphic... here is a good site. The graphic file itself will be either a .xpm or inside of an archive (xpm.gz). Once copied to your /boot or somewhere else, you could edit your menu.1st to include it. Here's an example from...

Intel X48 Motherboards to Show Up This Week

Yes, Nehalem will be when the push for DDR3 really begins.

When is it right to sell reviewed hardware.

    > "When is it right to sell hardware you have reviewed?" When it's no longer needed. I have no issue whatsoever with our editors selling products they've reviewed, as long as it's no longer required (as in, we don't need it for future testing) and as long as they keep Techgage's name out of it...

    NVIDIA Launches 790i Chipset & 9800 GX2 Graphics Card

From our front-page news: NVIDIA kicked off two brand-new releases today, both of which we'll take our own look at in the near-future. The 790i chipset is a variant of their 780i offering, but is tweaked to cater to the enthusiast in all regards. It's the first NVIDIA chipset to offer support...

Do all 780i chipsets get THIS hot?

I installed the ASUS Striker II Formula this evening, and all seemed to be going well for the most part (a kit of RAM died though). I was installing Vista so that I could run SYSmark and then all of a sudden, the entire machine crashed. I checked the temps in the BIOS to make sure things were...

    Cooler Master Cosmos S

I agree... mostly because most of the time, the PSU is a value model that's only included to give the case more appeal. The exception might be Thermaltake, since their PSU's seem rather stable. I am not sure how great CM's PSUs are, but I'm not a PSU guru either.

Dell 19" UltraSharp 1907FP LCD Monitor

Kougar is right... Samsung does have a monitor that supports USB (940UX) and so does LG, although I'm unsure of the model at this point. If you want to add another monitor via USB, you might want to check out our article on DisplayLink...
