STALKER: Clear Sky Features 5-Time Activation Limit

I'm sure GSC has a version like that internally, but the chances of them parting with it is unlikely... and it's just not worth the hassle of trying to get through to them. I found a "fix" for it online regardless, but in the interim I'll figure out from Valve what benchmarkers are supposed to...

    Gigabyte GA-X48T-DQ6

I don't even recall something like that on the board, but I do know I've had others with them. You'd have to take them off, no question, but it shouldn't be a problem. Since the majority of CPU coolers out there require a backplate, they wouldn't hold back the ability to use them.

Intel's Core i7 Stock CPU Cooler Revealed

Yes! That's the problem with these and a few other mounts. At least if you use screws, that's never going to happen (well, perhaps after a few thousand mounts perhaps).

Best Buy Imitates Customer, Refuses Sale Price

That's what blows me away... they go through such hassle just to rip the customer off a few bucks. I'll never understand the mentality of that company, and it's bound to bite them in the ass eventually.

    I lost my know-how overnight!

Nice. Hopefully the third's the charm... but still, it's hard to believe that TWO would arrive dead. Oh well, better to not ask questions I guess.

    PC Advice

There are no computer monitors that I'm aware of at 28" or 32", and if there are, they probably don't support the demanding resolution that a 30" would (2560x1600). The only size other than 30" that I know of in a computer monitor is 27", and that only supports 1920x1200. If you wanted to get a...

Best Buy Imitates Customer, Refuses Sale Price

Best Buy bought Futureshop in 2000 I believe... although I have no idea how the company was before then because we didn't get a Futureshop around here until after that I believe.

Study Shows Most Users Don't Read Fake Windows Pop-ups

From our front-page news: We've all seen them... fake Windows dialogs that pop up when we visit a certain site, begging us to click the OK button to either download some security software, to acknowledge a fact or anything else that could walk the line of believability. The sad thing is that...

STALKER: Clear Sky Features 5-Time Activation Limit

From our front-page news: I hate to post more about copy protection in games, but I can't help it. I've ranted about it a hundred times in the past, but ironically, I've never actually been the victim - until last night. Spore? Nope. Mass Effect? Nah. STALKER: Clear Sky? You guessed it...

From our front-page news: If there's one man with a lot to say, it's NVIDIA's CEO, Jen-Hsun Huang. Oh boy, if you don't know what bleeding-edge is, you need to start visiting more ;-) As for Asheron's Call... I'm still waiting for them to add rain back in. Their last excuse is that they had to develop the game to run on most systems out there... not a good excuse though. Computers nowadays...
