Indie Game Developer Earns $250K in Two Months with iPhone Game

From our front-page news: It might seem a little odd to some people, but mobile gaming is an extremely hot niche right now, and in some regards, it's much more successful than typical PC/console gaming. Less money is generally made as well, since the games don't sell as high as full-blown...

AMD Boasts 4GHz Air Overclocks on "Phenom II", 6GHz on LN2

From our front-page news: With Intel's Core i7 processors now available, and kicking ass through most benchmarks, one has to wonder what's up with AMD. How will they be competing anytime soon? It's true... lately all we've heard from them has been related to their business practises, but there's...

GeForce 180 Driver Brings Multi-Monitor SLI, Dedicated GPU PhysX

From our front-page news: I posted yesterday about Mirror's Edge becoming the first PC game to fully utilize the PhysX physics engine, but what I somehow forgot about was the new 180 driver that brings some great new functionality to the table. Two major new features include multi-monitor SLI...

What is it with idiot parents?

That experience is somewhat similar to mine. I used to eat a fair bit, so that probably helped combat some of the tiredness, or keep me energetic to an extent. I didn't take any breaks except to use the washroom, throw on a fresh pot of coffee or cook food. This is something I wouldn't do again...

    Building an Affordable "Skulltrail" System

The 65nm vs. 45nm argument doesn't make sense. The motherboard doesn't care what process the processor is based on. It cares whether or not the CPU is going to fit into the socket, and that it can sufficiently power it. I did notice something that could be a potential issue, though...

Intel Makes Core i7 Official, Processors Ready for Purchase

Getting someone else to build the machine goes against the spirit of this site and forum, but I'll let it slide ;-) You should really consider getting your hands dirty yourself though. As long as you take your time, the setup should be a relative breeze.

    Building an Affordable "Skulltrail" System

Unregistered: That's too bad about the instabilities. One thing you might want to try is setting the voltages to 1.30v and see if things improve. Those CPUs are designed to operate with up to 1.35v, I believe. The CPUs shouldn't need that much, but it's still a safe spot to keep it and might...

    Cooler Master HAF 932 Full-Tower

I'm not one to argue with physicists. I'm content in knowing that they just rotate and push air, heh.

What is it with idiot parents?

Haha, that's nothing! The longest session I had was with an MMORPG that lasted 34 hours. So, I'm not innocent here, but I never felt any signs of extreme exhaustion. I was fine overall. Still not sure how I did it... I seem to tire out a lot quicker now than I used to. Of course, when I am up...

Woman Loses $400,000 to Nigerian Scammers

Haha, I laughed out loud. Next time, it might help to read the story first ;-)

    O, Hai!

Thanks for the back-story, Matt. My enthusiasm for audio has been refreshed just by reading it, hah. I am the furthest thing from being an audiophile as I've mentioned in the past, but I do sometimes feel like I want to study up and learn more about the ins and outs. I know good audio when I...

What is it with idiot parents?

I'm no parent, and to tell the truth, I have no interest in having kids anytime soon. But it boggles my mind when I read stories of issues with kids and realize just how much of the problem is the parent's fault. Take this story for example: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,453447,00.html...

Worst Band Names and Album Covers

Although a "Top 25" list barely touches the surface of bad band names, both Cracked and Spike took their shot at picking out a perfect list. There are a lot here I agree with, and some are just blatantly obvious. It's as though some bands deliberately chose horrible names to represent...

Mirror's Edge PC Version to Support PhysX

From our front-page news:To say that we've been waiting a while for a game to make good use of the PhysX engine would be a huge understatement. Since we first covered PhysX well over three years ago, we've seen some freeware games come and go, but rarely did we see good use of the technology in...

Woman Loses $400,000 to Nigerian Scammers

From our front-page news: Online scams are nothing new, and by now I'm sure most people visiting this site are bored stiff of even hearing about them. One of the more rampant scams on the Internet for a while has been tied to the country of Nigeria, where there are apparently many ready to find...

Left 4 Dead Redefines What Co-Op Modes Should Be

I generally don't have that much time to devote to gaming (especially lately), but if anyone on these forums picks up the game and wants to play, let me know and I'll do what I can to make time. This game just looks too good to be ignored, and I really don't want to play it single-player, haha.

Left 4 Dead Redefines What Co-Op Modes Should Be

From our front-page news: It might be a bit hard (read: very hard) to wait for Half-Life 2: Episode Three to surface, but Valve hasn't been slack in delivering updates to their current games to give us something to do. To help make us forget HL2 for a while longer, they just released a brand-new...

    Building an Affordable "Skulltrail" System

Hah, that's a lot of cooling. Liquid cooling would interest me greatly, but it would take quite a bit of effort. As long as time permits, I think it'd be a great choice though. Quieter and cooler... can't beat it.

I think it goes without saying that an accurate description of the process would have taken more than five words ;)
