    Building an Affordable "Skulltrail" System

Haha. Orange and blue? :-P Ahh, so you think it was just a storage driver issue? Seems strange, but it wouldn't be the first time we've seen RAID-related issues like this on the forums. Allow me to . It's issues like these that go to show what an unwise choice it was to stick with...

    Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz - Wolfdale Arrives

Most any motherboard is going to do just fine. You might want to check out our look at an excellent Gigabyte board we reviewed not long ago: http://techgage.com/article/gigabyte_ep45-ud3p/

    ATI HD 4870 1GB vs. NVIDIA GTX 260/216 896MB

You need to go into your user control panel and then click on "Edit Signature". To get it the same size and font as mine, I used Arial size 1. Welcome to the forums!

    ATI HD 4870 1GB vs. NVIDIA GTX 260/216 896MB

In the $250 - $300 price-range, there exists two graphics cards that want to see your dollar, but which one deserves it the most? To find out, we're taking a thorough look at each. In addition to general performance comparison, we're also taking a look to see which excels where power consumption...

    Building an Affordable "Skulltrail" System

That's strange to me, because usually I find that Vista is far more likely to experience issues with overclocking. As for personal issues, I didn't have any instabilities at all that were related to the the Skulltrail platform itself. The worst issue I had was with two NVIDIA GPUs in SLI, which...

Dell 19" UltraSharp 1907FP LCD Monitor

navratilova: I'm not positive, but I'm almost certain you will not find a monitor that includes an S-Video port for under $200. I'd be surprised to see that option available on a 17" monitor at all... I've never seen anything like that. I think your best bet is to buy that adapter, because to...

Left 4 Dead Redefines What Co-Op Modes Should Be

I'm somewhat a fan of horror movies, but not so much a fan of games of the same genre. When I first heard of this game, I thought the premise was foolish, and the name even more so (I still believe that numbers used place of words is immature, though). I played for the first time on Friday...

What is it with idiot parents?

That's insane. I would never risk something like that... on sleep like that, the chance to drive off the road is far too great. I have a friend who did something quite similar, and I just don't know how someone can pull it off. I'd no doubt wimp out and fall asleep after 20 hours of driving.

ISODisk Allows Simple Mounting of Your ISO Disk Images

Hah, nice. Refer to this thread though: http://forums.techgage.com/showthread.php?t=4322 I posted that the following day... the program is far superior to ISODisk.

Intel Makes Core i7 Official, Processors Ready for Purchase

Great link, that's perfect. It's just too bad that these companies couldn't get their product into an e-tailer in time for the launch. It's strange that people can get all other equipment except and after-market cooler. Hopefully that changes very soon.

Looking to get a 1TB SATA drive but need advice

15 for 15, really? That's impressive. I would never mail one in and actually expect a rebate, so it's good to know my assumptions are unfounded. What I do find a little odd is that these companies still want "mail-in" rebates. What's wrong with scanning and faxing it? It would speed up the...

    Help BIOS flashing

Gigabyte's @bios is one of the best BIOS updaters I've ever used. I have had one problem before with a failed BIOS, but I think it's definitely an isolated incident. Gigabyte's "Dual BIOS" feature came in handy that night, let me tell you. The best BIOS updater would have to be Intel's though...

Woman Loses $400,000 to Nigerian Scammers

That's what's scary. It's not as though she's young and can just go back to work to make up for her losses. She's probably retired... so what's she to do now? Definitely not a good spot to be in.

    ASUS GeForce EN9800GT Matrix

Picking out a new graphics card is easier to do now than ever, as there seems to be a model to cover every single price-range, and not just from one single GPU manufacturer, either. Today's card is one that represents the ~$125 price spot and is designed as a step-up from the 9600 GT, with ASUS...

    Building an Affordable "Skulltrail" System

Hmm. That's odd. I used Skulltrail as my main machine for a few months (granted, it wasn't a full-time PC) and I never experienced an issue like that. The worst issue I had was general heat. Two cards in SLI + poor overall cooling was one of the reasons I ended up tearing it apart. I didn't want...

ASUS P6T Deluxe OC Palm Edition

It's a great cooler. Paired with a solid fan, I'm sure it's one of the best. Fact is though, with big overclocks, it might take more than a typical air cooler to reach amazing clocks. For regular use and modest overclocks though, it does a great job, even in this warm room.
