Logitech's "Darkfield" mice track on glass

Last week, Logitech released two new mice that fall under their new "Darkfield" series. I'm not sure what Darkfield means, but the biggest feature of the new mice is the fact that they're able to track on glass, as long as it's 4mm thick. I admit, this is a rather cool feature, as I have in the...

From our front-page news: At Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference this past June, the company announced that OS X "Snow Leopard" would become available to consumers in September. Well, there's good news for Apple fans, as the OS' release date has been pushed up to this Friday, the 28th. Even...

id Software Considering Skipping Rage for Linux?

I don't think you're seeing my point. Mac OS X is based on a similar underlying kernel as Linux, so from the sidelines, it appears that if the developers wanted to port to Linux, they could with little effort. Chances are that Mac OS X's graphics libraries are more robust than Linux, but the...

    Now here's a headline...

Some people are disgusting, it's that simple. To go and scar a young girl for the rest of her life, just so you can get your cheap thrills, is beyond words.

Corsair H50 Self-Contained Liquid CPU Cooler

Where do you see 15°C difference? While I believe this would beat CoolIT's Domino, it wouldn't have a chance against their higher-end products, but those of course cost a lot more.

WinX DVD Ripper - Free Ripper that Works

From our front-page news: I received an e-mail last week from Digiarty Software, which asked us if we'd like to post news about its free DVD ripper application. I don't usually jump at the opportunity for the main reason that there are so many applications like this around, but this one might...

id Software Considering Skipping Rage for Linux?

From our front-page news: For gamers running Linux as their primary OS, the choices are unfortunately limited. In fact, I'd be hard-pressed to believe that gaming wasn't the main reason that most people either dual-boot their PC, or never give Linux a try in the first place. The former can be...

Corsair H50 Self-Contained Liquid CPU Cooler

It has been a little while since Corsair last released a CPU cooler, so they're hoping to successfully win everyone over with their all-in-one H50. Based on Asetek solutions, Corsair spent many months tweaking the H50 before they considered it complete, so let's find out if their hard work paid...

Canadian Cable Companies Continue to Shaft their Customers

Hi Phineas and welcome to the forums! Thanks for your informative post. It's always great to hear from someone who has intimate knowledge with the subject at hand. I admit though, when I read, "He also invented negative billing" and "system access fee".", I was really, really close to...

    Who really makes this stuff....

What I was getting at is... how does someone know if the PSU they're ordering shares the same UL number as another top-rate unit? Most people aren't able to check for a UL number before committing to a purchase (especially online), so if there's no review available for a given supply, how are...

    Who really makes this stuff....

I don't think this practice is too well unknown. When we used to produce reviews for power supplies, most companies had no problem divulging the real manufacturer of the unit. It is a bit funny though, since as you said, you could possibly get the same unit directly from the original...

    Thermaltake BigWater 760i

I had an OCZ ModXStream 700W die on me a few months ago after it was used for a year, so it could be that a certain batch of like PSU's at the time were less-than-ideal coming out of the factory. I agree with Bill and Tango though... it sounds much more like a PSU issue than anything else.

Canadian Cable Companies Continue to Shaft their Customers

From our front-page news: As I live in a relatively small town in eastern Canada, our choices for cable, phone and Internet service is limited. It comes down to two main choices, Rogers and Bell, both which feature certain trade-offs (like reliability and junk mail en masse). As a subscriber of...

    Who's a sportsfan around here?

So, who's a sports-fan around here, and what sport's / teams you following? Both of the leagues I follow (NFL, EPL) start up at around the same time, so I couldn't be more stoked. Right now, there seems to be a game on every-single day, it's great! For the NFL, I follow the Indianapolis...

TRENDnet Releases "World's Smallest" Travel Router

Haha, alright, so it's not a mind-blowing product. I'm still excited about it though. It's small, and that's the biggest draw to me. I ended up throwing out a router on a business trip last year because I didn't feel like dealing with it anymore. This, I can fit right in a suitcase. While I'm...

Eating for a buck a day?

Of course not. I don't envy anyone in that situation at all. I have a friend who suffers a disability, and I'm well aware of just how lacking the income can be, so you really have to learn to be thrifty. She luckily has a fair bit of help on the side though, and lives in subsidized housing that...
