Logitech Announces G110 Gaming Keyboard

I agree... the LCD is something I'd never use, although I know a fair few who are the total opposite. The F-Lock system is a product of Microsoft? Gah... I hate it! I have never had the desire to push one of those keys to launch an application or do anything else... it takes a few clicks...

Apple's Pricing Premiums Never Cease to Impress

I love to bash Apple? That's a new one on me. I bash (for the lack of a better word) whatever I feel is worth bashing. I'm not making up stories to my own ends here... I state absolute fact. I suppose all of the news posts I've made praising iTunes don't exist. Or the posts where I lauded Snow...

    Building an Affordable "Skulltrail" System

Hmm, this is a tough one. I've never run into an issue with a PCI card just not working in the past, so this is a bit strange. I'm not familiar enough with PCI slots, but the fact that the site shows extra support for PCI 2.2 and 2.3 under Vista makes me curious... could there possibly be a...

    D-Link DNS-323 NAS

If the D-Link search can't find it, then it sounds like something is wrong with either the network connection or the unit itself. The Search Utility that's included should find it no problem. You might want to look under in your router's admin panel under DHCP leases to see if it's detected there.

    Ubuntu: Something for Everyone

Heh, that's true to an extent, but I think the same could go for all operating systems.

Apple's Pricing Premiums Never Cease to Impress

From our front-page news: Apple updated both its MacBook and iMac line-ups yesterday, and though I have little interest in the company's products, I decided to head on over to its site and see what was new. At the same time, I also wanted to see what kind of "Apple tax" these new machines had...

Upgrading to Windows 7? Run the Upgrade Advisor First!

From our front-page news: In case you are somehow unaware, Microsoft launches its Windows 7 OS tomorrow, with immediate availability. You can of course "pre-order" it on various websites now, or simply walk into a brick and mortar store tomorrow and pick up a copy. If you want to take the OEM...

Using the ASUS Xonar Essence STX Under Linux

Crave high-end audio, but use Linux? The situation surrounding this has been bad in the past, but that's not so much the case now, especially where ASUS' Xonar family of cards are concerned, including the headphone-specific Essence STX. Thanks to dedicated developers, the support today is just...

Intel's Core i7 Custom Desktop Challenge (Calling All Modders!)

Whoops... I guess we should have been adding a "void in Quebec" all along, then. I hate to exclude people from entering our contests, but when we're required to pay 10% of the contest value... it's just not going to happen.

AMD Launches Eight Athlon II Processors

From our front-page news:Just in time for the Windows 7 season, AMD has launched not one, not two, but eight new Athlon II processors. Ranging from the X2 235e at $69 to the X4 650e at $143, there's a CPU to fit pretty-much any budget and requirement. Like the X4 620 we took a look at two weeks...

Games to Look Forward to in 2010

Well, CoD: Modern Warfare 2 is available soon, not 2010, so it's not listed. If you're talking about the way the developers are maiming the game, then yes, I agree, it's a huge bummer and makes no sense. I never took advantage of mods in the original, so it doesn't affect me much, but taking...

Games to Look Forward to in 2010

From our front-page news: Looking back at the PC gaming landscape of 2009, I can't help but feel like I didn't put in as much time as I should have to go through some of the great titles that came out. I have no excuse for it, considering I own most of them for benchmarking purposes, but... that...

    Logitech Announces G110 Gaming Keyboard

From our front-page news: There's a lot of competition in the gaming peripheral market, but one company that seems to stay on top in gamer's hearts year after years is Logitech. Part of that could be the company's reach, since they've sold more peripherals than anyone else, and are available in...

Family Guy Set to Help Sell Windows 7

So... I stumbled on another clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raDwiXpcGXw Yet again, it's a rehashed clip. If this is all the show is going to be, it's going to be boring to actual fans of the show, and I can't see non-fans tuning in.

    Old-school speed typer

Found this video on Digg the other day. It's pretty cool, that people were this fast at typing long before they had a screen to look at while doing it. Any way you look at it, THIS is freaking fast. It's a wonder he doesn't regularly break the keys right off. <object height="385"...

    Tiesto - Kaleidoscope

I knew that subtle advertisement would work at some point! In all seriousness, it's cool that you picked it up! The album does indeed feature quite a new sound, and I admit that it caught me off guard. I heard the two singles before the album release, and even though they weren't proper trance...

Family Guy Set to Help Sell Windows 7

Should we trust someone who talks about setting a VCR is my question! I can't even remember the last time I even saw a VCR, let alone had to use one. As for that preview... that's not too good, I admit. It's rehashed material, which doesn't help. I'm still not sure whether I can say that I...

    Show off your desktop!

Oh, man! You need to be fussier about things like this, haha. 1024x768 is an extinct resolution, but in all fairness, it's still fine for the hard of seeing ;-)

Snow Leopard Bug Could Result in Data Loss

Not everyone who runs into a given issue is going to hop online to complain about it. I'd reckon that the real number is much, much higher than that. It's impossible to state that only 100 were affected... you can't monitor that kind of thing. I am right... there's no two-ways about it...

Is Intel Cheating for Higher 3DMark Scores?

Exactly, and this is something I can't quite wrap my head around. If this optimization is possible for some games, then why not all? It seems a little suspicious that the games it does optimise for aren't too rare to be seen in benchmarks for reviews. Either way, you're right... they...
