AMD's GPUTube.com Brings us Humorous Marketing

AMD last month launched a humor site called GPU Tube that helped lead up to the Radeon HD 6800 series launch, and I've been meaning to talk about it for a while. With a nudge from AMD, I was reminded, so here it is! This site features a "reporter" named Jason Sparrow who goes to AMD's Canadian...

    Hilarious BC2 Kill

Haha, nice shot! Killing people with a sniper at so close range can be tough... that was some quick thinking. How did that guy react afterward?

    Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 32GB

If you're in the market for a flash drive and your PC supports USB 3.0, seeking out a compatible product is a no-brainer. The speed potential is huge, and most often, the cost premium is not. In the case of Kingston's DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0, it's 2.5x faster than the fastest USB 2.0 drive...

NVIDIA Launches GeForce GTX 460 SE

Well it is the same company that released a GTX 580 about six months after the GTX 480 and isn't a major upgrade.

    Ok...this is...I have no idea

Catchy song, that's for sure. I think anime is being taken a bit too far with this though. I couldn't imagine liking something like this, despite the tech being so cool.

NVIDIA Launches GeForce GTX 460 SE

These same-model names are bugging me. This card could have been the GTS 455 or something like that, but just like the GTX 260, we have multiple versions. Talk about a great way to confuse the consumer. I don't think AMD has been devoid of this problem either, but it needs to stop.

Asus's Sabertooth P67 Sandy Bridge Motherboard has a Tactical Vest

MSI makes "military grade" GPUs already, so there's that option. I am not sure MSI is going to the extent that ASUS is on these boards though. I am not a fan of the shroud on this board, and fail to truly understand its purpose, but I love everything else about it, especially the color scheme...

Intel Introduces 120GB SSD and Trims Prices

Intel is busy working on its upcoming "G3" third generation SSDs, but that doesn't mean it's sitting still until then. In addition to lowering suggested retail prices to be more in line with current market prices, Intel has confirmed that a recently spotted 120GB model SSD will be introduced in...

NVIDIA Launches GeForce GTX 460 SE

NVIDIA's been the target of a couple rumors over the past month, and so far, one of them came true. Of course, I'm referring to the GeForce GTX 580, the new reigning champion where single-GPU performance is concerned. At the same time, a "GTX 460 SE" has also been rumored, but its potential...

    AC Ryan Playon!HD Media Player

This I am interested in seeing. A good GUI can make a device like this. I just wish we'd also see support for things like Netflix or Hulu, since they are slowly becoming a de facto standard. Either way though, the main beef I have with this unit is its GUI, so any improvement there would be...

Is it Possible to Hear an SSD?

When someone considers an SSD purchase, there can be a couple of different reasons for it. The most common comes down to performance, where mechanical drives are just left in the dust. For others, though, an SSD is a perfect complement to a quiet PC. After all, no moving parts means no noise. Or...

Entropia Universe Player Sells Piece of Real Estate for $635,000

Are you an MMO player? Does anyone ever tell you that should... oh, I dunno... get a job? Well, if you are someone known as Jon Jacobs, a devout Entropia Universe player, you could tell those people that your MMO is your job. Best of all, you might just be making a lot more money then they'll...

    AC Ryan Playon!HD Media Player

With a great number of media players available on the market, picking out the right one can be tough. AC Ryan hopes to stand out with its Playon!HD, an option that does a lot more than just play media. It can also act as a NAS, and even handle your torrenting duties. Does it do all of these well...

    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580

I am going to give the card another go tonight or tomorrow, and if it doesn't just boot up, I'll try the oven trick. If the card is indeed dead, it's not going to hurt anything to try. It'd be kind of ironic, though. Some people would consider the GTX 480 itself an oven ;-)

    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580

That's a great question - another one I don't have an answer to, hehe. It happened just over a month ago I guess, when I was doing a slew of re-benchmarking to update our GPU test suite. Testing on that card was done (thankfully), and then I turned off the machine for a bit. I returned to it...

    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580

There should be a reason behind it, because our tests are run at least twice with the results averaged out. Unfortunately, this is something I can't immediately re-test since our GTX 480 sample died within the last month. Been trying to get a replacement in, but it's kind of tough given that...

Newest "Hotfix" Catalyst 10.10e MLAA for 5xxx Cards

Ugh, that screenshot is sad but hilarious. It's impressive that it's working even on non-game apps... the driver should be able to tell the two apart. It's not like Windows Live is pushing the GPU that hard. I wish AMD would allow per-game tweaking in the control center like NVIDIA does...

    Call of Duty: Black Ops

In a follow-up to last year's Modern Warfare 2, Treyarch aims to impress with its most ambitious project yet, Call of Duty: Black Ops. The game features a solid storyline, fantastic gameplay, many unique elements, and a ton of content... even a bonus game or two! Did Treyarch deliver on all the...
