    ASUS at CES 2011

At a press conference held well before the official CES launch, ASUS unveiled four new Eee models, all of which are touch-enabled and can be considered "tablets". These include the feature-rich and powerful "Eee Slate" 12.1-inch, the Eee Pad Transformer (a personal favorite), the super small Eee...

What Are You Looking Forward to Seeing from CES 2011?

Posting this from FREE WiFi at Toronto Pearson. Last time I was here (last summer) it was $10 a shot, so this is nice. Gotta start making sure I come through here instead of Montreal. Looking forward to landing in Vegas, and especially looking forward to going to a press conference two hours...

    Bugged Game? Get a Refund

That's the kind of problem people running a 10-year-old OS can come to expect!

Duke Nukem Forever to be Released on May 31, 2011?

That's just it. When I play Borderlands, it almost FEELS like an MMO to me. The lone difference is the fact that it supports just four players. Boost that number to thousands, give the game a much larger landmass and a flurry of quests... yeah, it could be an MMO.

    Intel's Sandy Bridge Revealed: Core i5-2500K & i7-2600K Reviewed

Haha! Each launch is like this, you should know that ;-) It's funny because I even look at the 980X in my PC and realize that all it would take to match performance would be to overclock the $300 2600K to around 4.2GHz. That's some good value though, right there. Of course, the 980X still...

Duke Nukem Forever to be Released on May 31, 2011?

I've seen that Gearbox is "considering" a Borderlands MMO. I sure hope not... I have a hard enough finding time to game as is.

I'll just leave these here. Both were using this cooler.

    Intel's Sandy Bridge Revealed: Core i5-2500K & i7-2600K Reviewed

Yes, the LGA1156 CPU cooler thing is nice, although it still sucks that a new motherboard needs to be purchased. It's refreshing on the AMD side that such a move never has to happen, but on the other hand, changes AMD makes to its CPUs haven't been quite as robust as changes Intel has had to...

    Bugged Game? Get a Refund

I think gamers should have the right to a refund if the game is "unplayable". After all, we wouldn't put up with a car that stops dead in the street, or a television that can't turn channels. Games should be no different. The fact that gamers keep putting up with it is what keeps it happening...

    Intel's Sandy Bridge Revealed: Core i5-2500K & i7-2600K Reviewed

The long-awaited launch of Intel's Sandy Bridge is here, and we have all of the details of what to expect, what you need to "upgrade", what models will be available at launch, and of course, their prices. We're taking a look at two of the higest-end offerings, the Core i5-2500K and i7-2600K -...

    Show off your desktop!

It's not performance that bugs me about NIS. I've just had a lot of problems with it in the past. Couldn't run a couple of games until I uninstalled it. Not sure if problems like that still exist or not.

    Mobile Gaming favorites

You got me addicted to DoodleJump... it's a lot of fun. Simple, a bit tedious, but still quite a bit of fun. I'm liking Angry Birds quite a bit, and wouldn't be surprised if a sequel were to come out at some point. Never tried Worms, but it would worry me, though it really shouldn't be THAT...

    Mafia II - $12.49

Steam has a bagillion deals going on, but one I'd recommend jumping on is Mafia II... for a mere $12.49. Or $14.99 for the "deluxe" edition (includes one of the fastest cars in the game, digital map, soundtrack). http://store.steampowered.com/app/50130/...

Well, that's dumb. You're not supposed to have your hands on a joystick for Kinect.

What's the point of them, then? Seems kind of needless.

Softmod an AMD Radeon HD 6950 to an HD 6970

The thing is... even at stock speeds AMD put an 8-pin connector on the HD 6970. If it didn't need it, wouldn't it have used 2 6-pins instead? After all, that'd look a LOT better than NVIDIA's top-end solutions, which also require an 8-pin and 6-pin. I can't help but feel like some people are...
