Free Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars at GOG.com

I've not heard of it until this promotion. Looks intriguing though.

Migrating Your EA Games from Steam or Retail to Origin

I didn't test a retail game; I just know it's possible to register them. What I figure is that if the CD key on Steam registers, then the retail copy will as well (they'd likely use the same code formats). Thanks man! Glad you like it :D I kind of like it to be honest. It just lacks in...

Building PCs for friends pays off!

Sounds like an HDD issue for sure. You might want to install HD Tune or something and check the SMART, but if his PC became that slow not long after the build, it's likely to be the storage.

Migrating Your EA Games from Steam or Retail to Origin

A little known fact about EA's Origin is that many games you've purchased elsewhere, either at retail or on Steam, can be registered and used through it. The problem: EA doesn't have a list of titles that support this. Until that happens, we've started our own, and welcome submissions to see it...

Amazon Launches Four New Kindle Devices

It was expected that Amazon this week would announce a tablet-based Kindle, but the company surprised everyone by revamping its entire line-up. For starters, there's a brand-new entry-level model simply called "Kindle", priced at $79. It features a 6" ink pearl screen and supports WiFi, but has...

Humble Bundle Returns with Frozen Synapse

Good to hear it's such a good game. I'll give it a shot sometime, though it doesn't look quite like my sort of game.

Building PCs for friends pays off!

I can't believe the SD reader caught on fire! It had to have been faulty... how do you plug anything into the wrong port? It either fits or it doesn't. Either way, I'm sure he's glad to finally have a good-running PC again, and one that's like 20x faster than his last one, haha. Good work man :D

Free Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars at GOG.com

As GOG.com hits its 6,000,000th download, the company is giving away Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars free to anyone who wants it. The offer expires in two days, however, so you won't want to waste time. http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/broken_sword_directors_cut/

    BF3 early access codes

I agree on all counts. I understand that the final game might have a real menu, but I don't think it should have been excluded for the "beta". I've never played a "beta" before where there was never an actual menu... never. I sure hope. I am going to give it more of a change during the beta...

    BF3 early access codes

Ugh, this is one reason I like friendly fire turned off... Hah! I don't think BF3 is that welcoming of a game to begin with. You have to know what to do and get in lots of practice. It's harder to get good at a game where a lot of it is out in the open not in confined areas like Call of Duty...

Improving Wireless Performance on Android with Wifi Analyzer

Years ago, when wireless routers weren't so inexpensive, drop-outs didn't occur all too often. But today, if you live in a neighborhood with lots of buildings, or are looking to connect to a wireless spot at a mall or some other public location, there's a huge chance that to occur. While there's...

Humble Bundle Returns with Frozen Synapse

It might feel like we just had a Humble Bundle, and well, we did. But another has arrived and it's a little more unique than those we've seen in the past. There's just one game featured here, Frozen Synapse, dubbed the "ultimate tactical" game on both the PC (Windows and now Linux) and Mac...

    Newegg + ASUS Blizzcon contest

I am not sure when this contest began, or when it ends, but it's still on-going: http://www.asusrog.com/blizzcon11/si-pages/newegg.html Requires a "Like" and a comment to be entered to win a sweet rig.

Need help looking for a particular device.

Yes, a powered one might sound like a good idea. I've had extender cords not work for simple things like keyboards, so I don't trust them totally myself. Please let us know how you make out.

    BF3 early access codes

The unfortunate thing is that some games do the same thing; even if purchased through Steam. It's something that drives me nuts, because people should be able to choose their preferred language or location and just have it stick. A friend of mine who lived in Taiwan for some time wasn't able to...

    F1 2011 Review

Haha, no joke! There was a part in the video where I almost did nothing and ended up spinning out. Now imagine that weather under a strict time limit. That's why the time attacks are so challenging.

    F1 2011 Review

The winner of the current F1 season is almost a sure-thing, but is Codemasters' latest F1 sim as well? With the introduction of DRS and KERS, improved driving physics, a new collection of tracks, an improved focus on multi-player and the greatest racing challenge to date - it just might be. You...

I'll ping Jamie about this, because he'll be able to help for sure. He's dealing with a lot of things at the moment though so he might not be able to tackle it right away.
