    Having an issue with NAT

You guys aren't going to believe this =/ It was Windows Firewall that was causing the issue. I don't usually keep it enabled, but after my reformat, I didn't think about it. Lo and behold, it was blocking all incoming connections for -some- reason (I couldn't figure out how to change that), so...

    Microsoft Visual Studio 11 Preview

With the next version of Visual Studio soon to be upon us, we're taking a look at what's worth waiting for. While some animosity exists around certain decisions made by Microsoft, VS11 brings a lot to the table, most notably the addition of a robust environment for creating Metro-based apps...

    Kingston Releases HyperX 3K SSDs

When we previously reviewed Kingston’s HyperX SSD, we found it to be a premium model, offering not only the best performance we had seen from a SF-2281 powered SSD but also one of the best track records in regards to stability. Even several months later we consider the HyperX to be one of the...

1366x768 Surpasses 1024x768 As Most-Used Resolution on Web

For tech enthusiasts, a 1024x768 resolution is something of history - one that most of us likely used 10 years ago. But believe it or not, until recently that resolution was still the most used on the Internet, only now finally being surpassed by 1366x768. In checking our own stats, 1024x768...

CM Storm QuickFire Pro First Impressions

After reading through Jamie's review of Corsair's Vengeance K60 mechanical keyboard, I knew that I had to finally upgrade from a standard model to one that made the clickity-clack noise. Soon after, Cooler Master shot us over a sample of its QuickFire Pro and upcoming Trigger keyboards, so I...

EVGA Revamps its Lifetime Warranty Policy

Gamers from yonder years may still recall quite a few companies that offered lifetime warranties on graphics cards (in some cases, double-lifetime), but everyone knows such agreements have become harder and harder to find as companies either exited the business or changed their warranty terms to...

    Having an issue with NAT

Alright, I blanked on mentioning something last night. I have multiple PCs connected to that router, and no other one than this has the problem of being discoverable on the network. The NAS is fine, the laptop is fine, and the benchmarking PCs are fine. It's just this PC. I can also discover...

    Toothaches

Oh, I'm not writing it off at all. I'm just that stubborn. The pain is even less today, so I'll just go with the flow. I just hope I don't turn into a zombie or something stupid like that. If it continues even in a small way I will go, but it almost feels like it's just going to disappear. My...

    Having an issue with NAT

I am not having a problem with a VM, if that's what you mean. I just mentioned that the only program that I have installed that has anything to do with the network -is- VMware, since it sets up those faux NICs. I've had VMware installed forever though and have never had this sort of issue before.

    Having an issue with NAT

I can't do that atm as I am running it with something I can't shut down, but once I am able I will give that a go. Thanks man :D

    Having an issue with NAT

About a month ago, my PC stopped being discoverable on the network. I couldn't connect to it via my phone or another PC. When I use the troubleshooting option in Windows, I get this error: More than one device is performing network address translation (NAT). What's causing this? I have...

EA's Latest Marketing Techniques Stir up Controversy

I don't care for EA, but I have to admit that I LOL'd hard at its Dante's Inferno campaign. It's just smart business.

    Toothaches

I didn't see this coming. It's starting to feel better. Either it's because the infection has gone to my brain, or it was just a flare-up of some kind. Beats going to the dentist. Of course, I could wake up tomorrow crying like a baby due to the pain. Life. It's fun.

Want to Create Your Own Linux Distro? There's a Game for That

Where operating systems are concerned, it could be argued that Linux offers more "choice" than any other. There exist so many different distributions, that the challenge is finding the one perfectly suited for you. I will go out on a limb, though, and say that if there's anything more...

Facebook Acquires Instagram for $1 Billion

Own a social networking service that has a lot of users but generates no revenue? Some might think that there'd be little hope in a sale, but Facebook's most recent purchase proves that the unlikely can happen. The company just paid a cool $1 billion for photo sharing / editing service...

Gearbox Releases Borderlands 2 Launch Trailer

A new class is mentioned here: http://content.usatoday.com/communities/gamehunters/post/2012/04/borderlands-2-adding-custom-characters-new-class/1 What I don't like: "The class will be available as a download once Borderlands 2 launches, says the report, but can be scooped up for free as a...

    Toothaches

I don't believe this to be an infection. I think it's a wisdom tooth that took it's good ole time to start coming in that's causing the problem, but there might not be enough room for it. Gotta call the dentist and hope I can get in quick. Fun times.

    Windows Action Show

I watch a weekly podcast called Linux Action Show, and it's rather good. On April 1, they posted a show called Windows Action Show instead, and it's quite hilarious overall, if you have a good sense of humor and don't mind a few subtle (sometimes) jabs against Windows...

    Toothaches

Something I've come to surmise over the past week is that there are few maladies as frustrating as a bad toothache. I am about as stubborn as they come when it comes to seeing a doctor or a dentist (you could say it's like pulling teeth), but I'm being forced to. I've tried different pills, to...

NZXT's FZ LED Fans Deliver Both Performance and Color

For serious PC builders, LED fans are sometimes a non-option. It's not because LED lights are tacky, but because usually there's a trade-off in performance being made. Companies that tend to create LED fans don't always focus on performance or endurance to the level that enthusiasts would like...
