Forget the case. I couldn't afford the CPU's!

    1GB 5750 vs. 512MB 9800GTX+

With XFX all the original owner has to do is generate a new key and the new owner logs onto the website, enters that key and they take over lifetime warranty ownership. I did this for a guy when I sold my 8600GTS. I'll see what I can find.

ATI Radeon HD 5830 - AMD Completes its HD 5000 Line-up

Yep. I use all of these site regularly to build, price, match. I'm pretty cheap.

    Thecus Releases "Zero-Crash" N4200 NAS

I do but it would be completely impractical since I'm just a simple user. I'm even thinking of downsizing what I have into a single drive since everything that I really want to keep is routinely backed up on media and on my wife's computer. Like I said about the dual socket EVGA Board - the...

    Gigabyte 800 Facebook Fans Contest

I scored a Coolink 120mm fan and TIM because someone didn't check into a contest. It would suck if there was an extenuating circumstance why you couldn't check. Sickness, personal issues, etc. You went through a rough time so let me kick you when you're down by yanking away your gear. :(...

    More Details Surface on EVGA's Dual-Socket W555

The realist in me thinks this thing is a complete piece of garbage but the tech monkey in me is going buck nutty! Cool idea but I wonder if the dollars spent in development will be recouped since not many people will be able to afford this although the enterprise market may bite. I'm...

Looking for LGA775 quad results with World of Warcraft.

WoW may very well use 4 cores but it certainly isn't using them like they should be. Supreme Commander, which was supposedly developed to utilize multiple cores even falls flat if I remember my benchmarks correctly. Your OS could even be off loading a bit of work to those extra cores making...

ATI Radeon HD 5830 - AMD Completes its HD 5000 Line-up

If they can, woah baby! Nvidia is going to take a pounding. In order for them to really take a bite out of the Green Team I say they should push forward with the new launch late this year, regardless of how well their current line up is doing. Some consumers may complain that their card...

    1GB 5750 vs. 512MB 9800GTX+

Thanks Rob. As I was coming in here to read your response I thought to myself, "I bet he's going to ask about the resolution". 1680x1050 is exactly what I would be running. My question comes from the fact that I will likely have to sell my current system as a whole instead of parting it...

    1GB 5750 vs. 512MB 9800GTX+

Hey folks. Here I am with another which-would-win question. My bang/buck upgrade is being pushed back a bit and I'm also having to scale back a bit more so the 5770 is likely out. It will be replaced by the 5750 and what I am wondering is will I really notice enough of a difference by...

ATI Radeon HD 5830 - AMD Completes its HD 5000 Line-up

Yep, yep. I'm curious to see what the prices will do when Nvidia finally gets their act together and roll out their Fermi's. I also wonder if the rumors are true that AMD will have their next gen card ready to roll by Q4 2010/Q1 2011.

Can You Tell the Difference Between 720p and 1080p?

Hey now, it's working just fine along with my VHS recorder. Hehehehe. My wife and I live a very simple life. The only thing that we have that is frivilous is my PC and I'm hoping to make it a bit more frivilous in the spring. ;)

Looking for LGA775 quad results with World of Warcraft.

Wow! That's some crazy memory you have there. A 100%+ increase. Anyway, I look at it this way. If you're a gamer, go with a beefy dual core, which you have. If you're a media nut, go with a quad. I may be way off here but so far, until game developers code software to make better use of...

    ASUS G51J 3D 15.6" Gaming Notebook

I remember entering a contest for one of these not long ago. Maybe it was the model before this but either way I had never been a fan of lappy gaming but what I read about it made me pretty interested. No luck on the contest but if I were to abandon my desktop Asus would keep me going with...

Haha! I'm still using a 27" CRT and can hardly count to 720. This is marketing fluff to someone like me!

70% of Employers Rejected Applicants Based on Online Info

Every so often I do a search for my name in Google, Yahoo, Bing or any of the major search engines and do you know what comes up? Nothing! Social networking sites just aren't for me. I have missed out on countless barbecues, get togethers and even a wedding because both my wife and I are...

    Pushing an i7-965 under Linux...

The most I have done with Linux is using SLAX to boot and grab data off of a hard drive if I corrupt an OS due to overclocking or helping to troubleshoot hardware for friends. Other than that I'm a Windows kinda guy.
