    Thermaltake V3 Black Edition

Anybody who has been interested in computers and computer hardware within the last 10 years will be well aware of who Thermaltake is and what they are all about. Started in 1999 they have released products like the Big Typhoon heatsink, which was king of the down draft cooler hill for a while...

    Problemo!

I agree with Kougar. Either that or something has shifted ever so slightly causing a grounding problem. Regardless, the easiest (and probably cheapest) place to start is at your PSU cable. Here in Canada we use 3-prong plugs for our towers and monitors.

    AMD Phenom X6 1090T - $250!

Direct Canada baby. $9.99 1-2 air shipping on some items and free ground shipping on orders over $300. If you can wait 5-10 days you can save yourself about $40-50 on shipping, plus they are almost always the cheapest. Now if only I could get my damned cables!!!

    Which One?

Running at 1T command rate! W00T! I also dropped my vcore .05v, which in turn dropped my temperature under full load by about 5 degrees. I'm now at 1.20v but was playing around and managed to load Windows (barely) with just 1.15v

    Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler

This thing is like that big, quiet dude from the kung fu films. You know he can kick ass but he never does until the heat is on. HEEYAH!

    AMD Phenom X6 1090T - $250!

Too bad they like to get ya up the pooper with shipping on most products. I find TD is almost never worth the discount unless it is an insane sale or you live close enough to a brick and mortar location. Their customer service is very good though based on what experience I have with them.

    Problemo!

Wait now, you're missing the 3rd pin? Hmm...maybe your power connections are different than what we have in North America but isn't the 3rd pin your ground? It would say that you have a grounding issue somewhere along the line if you are getting a shock from your case.

    Which One?

Yeppers. The memory itself is insane! I'm currently running 1820mhz @ 8-8-8-20-2T with only 1.54v with a 4Ghz overclock. I'll see if I can pull off a 1T command rate. It's just the crappy case that kinda put a damper on the build.

    Which One?

I was running a NZXT Tempest but it's just too big so I opted for this smaller, low cost solution. Ugh...what a nightmare. I'll have a build log on OCN shortly once I dial down my overclock. I may lean on you a bit for pointer, radaja.

Any Builders Try Ninite Easy PC Setup?

Nice find. If it truly installs the apps without the BS tool bars then it would come in handy with a few builds and reformats that are due to come my way this month and next. *bookmarked*

    Which One?

There is zero clearance between the top edge of the motherboard and the top of the case. The 8-pin power connector and the top row of latches on the DIMM slots are located and the top of the motherboard meaning you cannot install fans in the proper location above either of these areas. Just...

My rig is great. My case sucks...balls. What a pain. I'll drop the chip info over on OCN.

One the eve of six or more cores...

That just goes to show you that Microsoft still hasn't figured out exactly how to properly implement their WGA fiasco. Congrats on the upgrade. New tech is always fun.

All pop songs are 4 chords?

It speaks volumes about both the music industry being complete hacks instead of visionaries driving the progression of popular music as we are supposed to believe but also about us as consumers. We are entertained by a measly four chords.

More on Apple's Leaked iPhone 4G

    Which One?

As I said over on OCN, everything came in except for my case and silver SATA cables. If I wasn't so tired I would run it nekkid, get the OS installed and test the system at least but that will have to wait until tomorrow. It was like Christmas though. Packing peanuts and bubble wrap was...

How important is overclocking to you?

Wow...how did I miss this thread? I should have necro'ed it long ago. I'm with Radaja on this one but my reasons are a little different. I don't have the money freed up to be able to swap out components (I have bigger ideas in mind) so I agonize over what ones to pick that will give me the...

All pop songs are 4 chords?

Most "punk" songs back in the day were 4 power chords. Hell, there are still some songs out there that are. Look at Glycerin by Bush X (yeah, we had to tack on a X here in Canada) or Good by Better Than Ezra. While they may not be pure 4 chord songs you can certainly get away with playing...
