Yes, you can use anyone's GPU in an Intel motherboard. You just can't use SLI. The 7800GT will perform the same in any modern chipset motherboard, so no worries there either. :) I wish I've had the chance to play with an ASUS, but as of yet I'm leery of spending my own money on anything...

Well, did you ensure to install all the latest drivers for the motherboard, latest video drivers, and especially if you use Windows Vista to ensure it was fully updated? You also need to physically verfiy in the BIOS that it is giving the RAM the correct voltages, it's such a common problem...

What exactly did you upgrade? Did you reinstall the GPU drivers after first using DriverCleaner, and have you made sure your RAM is operating at the manufacturer's voltages?

Sorry mate, AFAIK you'd need to downgrade to an ASUS DX XONAR as they version does have audio-out headers that you can plug your front case panel audio jacks into. Otherwise, you'd just have to keep switching it over via software and the jacks at the back, or plug the headphones into the speakers.

Assuming you find a dual-core chip running at the same clockspeed and same L2/L3 cache as a quad-core chip, they will perform the same. Adding cores doesn't make the CPU slower unless they change something, such as lowering the clockspeed or removing some cache. Prime 95 uses as many cores...

That was way to annoying to try and use, would be easier if the text didn't jump with your typing. Also having to delete two entire words just to add in a missing space is kind of stupid, it wouldn't let you add in a space without deleting everything you'd typed first.
