In the TG Lab: Intel's DX58SO2 Motherboard

They're built like tanks but usually come with a price premium. Sorry, but if I can get a full blown enthusiast board, which Intel just doesn't seem to be willing to roll out, I'm going to go for it.

    Need for Speed: SHIFT 2

I've been out of touch with the series since Carbon but was all about Underground and Underground 2. It's something I'd like to get back into but I'm in the same boat as you - no time.

Canadian ISP Rogers Admits to Throttling World of Warcraft

Another reason why I will NEVER go with Rogers. Garbage billing, they raise their rates like I change socks, they throttle your bandwidth -and- there's a cap. In the next month or two, we will be done with Rogers all together and switching to Aliant for television.

    Crysis 2....

I'm with Rob. It sure looked pretty, even without the latest and greatest eye candy. It makes me wonder what DX11 is truly capable of if a DX9 title can look this good?

Duke Nukem Forever Multiplayer Modes Revealed, Bitchslap and All

I hear it has been delayed. There were some people talking about it at work but I'm not sure how reliable that information is. Water cooler talk and all. If this is Gearbox playing a cruel trick to point out the history of delays... ***EDIT: Here you go...

This is why you insure deliveries...

I'd like to find a bunged CPU and try to snap one of those off. How much force is needed? It would probably end up creating more questions than answers though.

This is why you insure deliveries...

If it was packed the way Rob showed me, this is some serious unexplainable Bermuda triangle shit. Terrible way to receive gear...

Upgrading the TG Lab: Corsair's Force Solid-State Drives

That's why it wouldn't be used for the OS - just disk caching to improve performance in games. My OS drive is and as of now, always will be a SSD at least 60GB. Now that I think about it, disk caching requires at least 18GB+ of free space on a SSD so this drive is out. I'd likely step up to a...

Upgrading the TG Lab: Corsair's Force Solid-State Drives

I'm sure I can find it for cheaper. I just used Newegg because I knew it would be listed for me to link to.

Upgrading the TG Lab: Corsair's Force Solid-State Drives

Rob and I were talking in chat last night and I think I may go for one of these to work in conjunction with a mechanical HDD. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820139428 It should be more than enough for gaming since that's all I plan on using disk caching for.

Upgrading the TG Lab: Corsair's Force Solid-State Drives

Mighty tempting. What do those drives run? It wouldn't be until later assuming I decide to go Z68 and not P67.

Duke Nukem Forever Multiplayer Modes Revealed, Bitchslap and All

A joyous "SQUEEEEEEE!" rose up from about 5 or 6 gamers in my work area when I sent out this story.

Upgrading the TG Lab: Corsair's Force Solid-State Drives

Gah! I wish I had a Microcenter around here, especially when the Z68 boards drops due to disc caching. I'll need to find the cheapest SSD I can find.

    new build 2.0

I'm pretty sure that those issues with the sockets have been resolved but we're talking about 1155, not 1156. No socket issues have cropped up on that platform that I'm aware of. Besides, I'd be more worried about the VRMs popping with massive amounts of voltage instead of the socket.
