    Techgage Benchmark Scoring Thread

Does anyone on the forums run a ATi card under Vista (HD3870) or something close to the 8800GT performance so we can see if its just the Nvidia Vista drivers.

Sorry, but I can't recall ever hearing about the game.

Picking out a 30-inch monitor is truly a chore!

I don't see how anyone could use a small display like that anymore..........LOL I don't see how my wife uses her 19" LCD, guess I'm just to used to a larger wide screen. A 30" would be nice to have, but I can't put in the "need to have" list yet, but I'm sure that will come down the...

CES 2008: Intel Announces Sixteen 45nm Processors

Waiting so long for a item after its been paid for really sucks, it'd drive up the wall waiting so long.

I'd be interested in seeing how well ATi based cards do in this test performance wise between XP and Vista. Everything I seen so far is Nvidia based cards. It could be that the Nvidia SLi drivers are at fault.

    Cosmos S or Cosmos 1000

Those Cooler Master 500 series are some pretty nice little cases and they don't cost a arm and a leg either.

Boy, that's a bad performance hit that you get from using Vista, I heard Vista was tough on system performance, but I would have never thought that it was so much.

Picking out a case can be a real pain in the butt, that's one reason I've kept my UFO so long. When I upgrade, I just pull everything out and install the new stuff in my good ole UFO...................;)

    AGEIA Not Acquired, After All

    Here's something on the topic: http://techreport.com/discussions.x/14147 http://arstechnica.com/journals/hardware.ars/2008/02/15/nvidia-announces-software-support-for-physx-in-all-8-series-cards

    AGEIA Not Acquired, After All

If I remember correctly the one article I read about the software engine was back before the 9800 series specs were released. Who knows, something to keep a eye out for.

Yorkfield Processors to Start Selling Next Week.

All the OC'ers out there are also a great free test bed for Intel/AMD, you know that their people monitor what their CPU's are doing on the different OC'ing/tech forums.

    PCI x1 and X4

I don't know anyone using the PCI-e 1x/4x either, just the 16x video and that's about it.

I agree that it's a Vista issue now after chatting with a few friends, they are all running XP with 8800 GT/GTS cards and are scoring 400 plus in the test.

    Cosmos S or Cosmos 1000

Antec P182 series are a fairly nice case, I just don't care for the restrictive air flow with the front door closed. The front air inlet grills are a bit restrictive as well, but that's all easy enough to work around.

    Engineers Develop Solid-state Fan

True, but dust is a killer on just about any system, they would have to have the unit well sealed and filters of some sort on the air inlets and they would have to be removable for cleaning.

That's sort of what I'm thing, but I have no way to test it....................:D Try disabling SLi instead of removing a card, that should work as well. Strange, there has to be something in your settings that's holding your system back. What is your card clocked to?? May also have something...

    PCI x1 and X4

Here pretty soon you shouldn't really need any old style PCI slots as PCI-e cards for most apps are now making their way onto the market.
