Happy XXth b'day (I'm assuming you're in double digits and not still in single or into three on your age) and here's to hoping that you have many, many more! (Unless of course you really are over 100, in that case I'd omit one of the "many"s):D
The thing is that HTPCs are not selling well right now. For them to become big in the market there will have to be a lot of streamlining in the apps and a huge marketing push.
Yes, I know that among the tech-savvy crowd they are becoming popular but to the less PC oriented folks that are the...
Up until 30 minutes ago I was busy screwing down a floor so I could afford to finally upgrade to an AMD. I'm sure pleased as punch to see the prices drop at last, I can now afford to get that 3500+ I was eyeballing...well, tomorrow at least after I get paid.
Ok, I'm confused. They're talking about integrating the GPU into the CPU but the whole reason that they moved to hardware video acceleration was to remove the overhead from the CPU and it's subsystems like the memory and such. I kind of see that as a giant leap backwards. This would also mean...
If (and a very big if here) ATI does by some miracle get bought up by AMD AMD won't lose anything as far as nVidia is concerned. AMD makes up nV's biggest market share as far as chipset sales goes and since the only way you can run SLI is by nVidia only supporting the nV chipsets they'd stand to...
Yes, they do have a long standing agreement to share technologies. This is why AMD procs have MMX/SSE/SSE2 and SSE3. This is also why the Intel CPU's are using AMD's X64 technology.
This goes (again) back to the days of when AMD was making chipsets for Intel and also a distributer of Intel...
I always assumed that the yankees up in VA were a bit more refined than that. I say yankees because a fine upstanding southern man wouldn't bring that kind of garbage here.
The HDD enclosure isn't powered by the USB interface when it has an external power source, that's the reason I asked. Anyways, did you try it on another PC?
When you click on the "Set it & frorget it" tab at the left of the screen and then click the boot time defrag tab it should pop-up a job properties box, if not I'd suggest that you reinstall Diskeeper as there's something wrong.
Try that and let me know what happens. :)
Must...have...smaller...mice!!! Think about it, a notebook mouse so small you could lay your thumb on it and click the buttons with your index finger. It could fit in the change pocket in your jeans.
That's a cute lil' bugger. It's darned near the same size as the batteries themselves. It never ceases to amaze me how they continually downsize the electronics in things like mice and cell phones. I'm figuring it's just a matter of time before the circuitry is molded into the shell.
Nice...
