    Killer NIC

I swear to god, when I saw the adverts for that I thought it was a game. I never read exactly what they said as I was thinking RPG and as Rob knows I'm not an RPG guy but finding out it is a network card...jesus. A fool and his money are soon buying a Killer NIC

    Everglide g-1000 Pro Gaming Mouse

I really wish I knew. When I first plugged it in it lit up, went out and I had to reboot a few times for it to work, after that it worked but my internet was gone. Took me 2 days of archiving to save all my files from the C: drive before I could reinstall. What a pain in the posterior.

    Western Digital 500GB RE2

I hate to break it to you but the 7200.10 version is still priced $60 above the cost of the RE2 and $70 above the cost of the SE so it might be more competitive in terms of specs but not in price. I must admit though that I'm interested in seeing how they'd fare against one another.

Anyone know what program is hijacking me?

Out of the totally free spyware scanners the two I mentioned are the only ones worth messing with. Yes you can get trials of the pay spyware scanners but do your homework. Most of them (sadly) infect your PC with malware when you do the free scan then want you to pay for the full version to...

Anyone know what program is hijacking me?

Security updates are great and all but the fact that the hackers figure out how to bypass them mere hours after they're released doesn't help worth a damn. For your current problem do a Google for Adaware and get it (1.07SE I think) and Spybot Search & Destroy and get it too. Run one after the...

    Brando S-ATA/IDE USB Cable

While the packaging on the one you carry is identical to the Brando offering I know for certain that it had no power switch as I pulled it apart. If they're from the same source (and I'd safely assume so all things considered) the Brando version is likely older from a period before the vendor...

    Dell to finally use AMD

This comes as no surprise really. After the Dellianware merger Dell finally got to play with AMD stuff and found out that it's better than Intel let on. Pretty simple .

    Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000

The MX-1000 with the rechargable batteries runs around $70 to $80, this on the other hand sells for < $50. You can always do like I do and buy a set of NiMH rechargables and a charger and use rechargables in it.

Danger Den TDX Block, MAG Pump, DD MAG II & Maze 4 GPU Block

With the mag it could make a minor difference but I wouldn't sweat it at all.

    Ultra X-Finity DR 500W

I do. The X2 loads both vidcards off the 12V2 rail along with the CPU. That's about 21A on that rail under full load. It'll be OK for a while but I'd be leary about using it like that for over a year. Just thought you'd like to know.

    Ultra X-Finity DR 500W

Rob, it's not just the DR, that's the base model and sells for $99. This is the X-Finity 500W w/APFC just like I put in my title.

Danger Den TDX Block, MAG Pump, DD MAG II & Maze 4 GPU Block

Get a 12" piece of 1/4" wide 20ga flat strap. Mark the center of it, measure 2 1/6" in each direction from center and drill 1 hole on each mark. After that test mount it to the face of the rad. Next bend it so that ot forms a "U" the same width as the drive bay but make it a squared U more like...

Danger Den TDX Block, MAG Pump, DD MAG II & Maze 4 GPU Block

Putting the rad up front is a cakewalk, it's just figuring where to put the HDDs that's a bear.

Danger Den TDX Block, MAG Pump, DD MAG II & Maze 4 GPU Block

Judging by the thickness of the radiator it's a Black Ice Extreme and not the Black Ice Pro. The Extreme is a dual row rad whereas the Pro is a single row rad. Easy way to tell is with a tape on the tank, the Pro will be about an inch thick. Nice read, great temps considering it's a single...

Use 7/16" tubing on the crossover tube as it's got a tighter bend radius.

    Thermaltake Kandalf VA9000B

I agree that zip-ties are great but when you're moving things around in your case as much as I am it's damned near impossible to commit to one location for each cable. That's what I was talking about when I said I didn't go that route.

If you want to use the rear drive gondola getting longer SATA cables will allow you to route them up through the perforation along the drive bays in the front (the ones on the mobo side) then up and back to the drive gondola. I did that in Vince's PC. The reason I didn't do it in mine is because...
