Is Vista Driving People Towards Linux?

I still blame most Vista problems on user error. Too many people trying to run 2+ year old hardware with it too. I also agree that the 64-Bit version is the one to run. I still say that there never should have been a 32-bit version and that alone would prevent alot of people running it on...

    Dell 2709W thoughts

LOL! Back on topic, this monitor is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I forgot how much difference a good panel makes. I was always happy with my LG 22" LCD, but I already ruined 3 pairs of pants playing with this new beauty. For me, the pixel size is perfect since I always had to squint a bit with a...

    Dell 2709W thoughts

Right now the 2408WFP is on sale for $479 and the 2409W is on sale for $279. The 3008 is on sale for $1749 and the 3007 WAS on sale for $1299. Check their page daily and you should find one for the price you are willing to sacrifice for like I did.

    Dell 2709W thoughts

It was one of Dell's "Day of deals" sale. It was for only one day and I just could not resist for the price. I want to actually see how it looks before I pass judgment so I will keep you guys updated when it gets here (it shipped on the 6th too!).

    Dell 2709W thoughts

OK, it was on sale for $599 and free shipping a few days ago. My credit card was feeling lonely so I decided to have some fun for me and pick this thing up, especially since I can Ebay it easily for more than I paid for it. To me, the 1920X1200 resolution with this screen size sounds excellent...

    Using a keyboard

Could you post some more information and pictures of this setup? I have been thinking of getting a keyboard to play around with but heard that Vista is not nice with MIDI stuff. Thanks!

    Peeved Developer Gets His Responses

I am extremely against pirating games, but it really pisses me off to be forced to use no-cd cracks for my games because Starforce doesn't play with Vista 64 and EA Games downloaded games don't work after 3-4 months.

    Windows Vista 64bit Freezing

Again for me, I have found 64-bit Vista to be far better in handling ANYTHING I throw at it. I even changed my motherboard last week without a fresh install and it is running as good as ever. In fact, my CPU is overclocking better now than before. Memory is a good possibility. I will say you...

    Windows Vista 64bit Freezing

Try keeping a task manager window open or the CPU meter going and see what the CPU is doing when this happens. If it pegs 100% at the start of the freeze then there is something running full tilt that should not be. Sounds like some sort of incompatibility, but I have never had any issues with...

Are 64-bit PCs Finally Catching On?

Must be why I love Vista so. I never really used hte 32-bit version.

    Still No Demand for Blu-ray?

Prices have prevented me from buying them as well. Add to that the pitiful selection of rentals at my local stores and I can only hope me and my PS3 will have some better deals soon.

Are 64-bit PCs Finally Catching On?

If you ask me, the only reason people are even running 64-bit versions right now (for the majority atleast) is so they can have 4GB of ram. Otherwise, I hardly see any other viable reason at all for the masses to run 64-bit over 32.

NewEgg Preparing to Launch Canadian Counterpart

If/when they come to Canada, they will do what ALL retailers do when they get here. They will look around and realize that they can offer horrible customer service and jack up their prices for no reason because for some unknown reason, Canadians seem to not only put up with this, they seem to...

NewEgg Preparing to Launch Canadian Counterpart

LOL!! Waiting for parts........ We wait anywhere from 1-5 days for orders to even be processed. This is where Newegg could win some customers over.

    NVIDIA Launches Mainstream 9500 GT

And Nvidia further spreads out their crazy naming system with yet another 9 series. This card should have been released some time ago for this pricepoint for it to really matter. Looks good enough, I just have a tough time swallowing all that Nvidia is feeding us as of late.
