PC Gaming Isn't Dying, EA's Games Just Suck

Hell, this is how bad EA sucks... I just went to read Moore's blog and it won't even load! Useless waste of oxygen if you ask me.

True but they use way more batteries than a more traditional car does. The problem is that there are gasoline cars on the road that get mileage on par with the hybrids currently out. Until the hybrid can far outstrip a standard internal combustion powered vehicle, even a very well engineered...

Well, I think that they allowed for the folks that have a real need for an SUV but sadly I'm afraid that 99% of owners don't fall into that category. Out in the country 4WD pickups are more predominant over SUV's as most country dwellers don't need a covered cargo area. I don't think that...

Older country is not unbearable, I like cash, Hank Williams (Sr not Jr), Charlie Pride and their contemporaries (by and large) but the "new" country is more like southern rock with pedal steel guitar. It's not country any longer.

Dude, if you haven't ever said "Hold my beer" before doing something stupid and dangerous you won't get country music.

Maybe the prelude is key to getting into the trance. The sound of the sea, chant a bit of ohm waddy paddy and by the time the music hits you're all set. Seriously though, it wasn't environmental sounds at all, there was some sort of choral sound that droned on with subtle shifts in harmonics...

I guess I'm either tragically unhip or just tonally challenged but I listened to a clip on that site and all I heard was noise. I guess I just don't get it.

I should've reworded that, that big SUV owners (owners of big SUV's mind you, I don't mean portly people that own SUV's) are assholes as they have no caring of any of the consequences that the huge land yacht they drive may have. Some people have SUV's for reasons such as needing 4WD 10% of the...

RAV4's and the ilk aren't bad as far as SUV's go but I still think that there being verifiable proof that assholes drive SUV's, big SUV's mind you, is still noteworthy. While I disagree with a few things in the article it is nice to know that people are finally becoming disillusioned with the...

    Against all good judgement

You can too use the F8 key, just wait until after the RAID message pops up to start hitting it or if you're going from the boot loader screen, hit F8 as soon as you hit enter after designating the boot drive. You'll be able to access the OS options screen after that then go into safe mode or...

dBpoweramp's Batch Converter Quick to Convert Big Music Collections

How exactly do you get the batch conversion to work? I'm running the same version and it only encodes tracks linearly, it won't encode two at a time even though I'm running a dual core CPU.

AMD HD 4850 - Best Mid-Range GPU Ever? Yes.

Looks like a great candidate for water cooling. I'm looking forward to seeing how their new drivers pan out, that's always been my major gripe with ATI. Their cards are solid but in my experience, their drivers weren't quite the best.

NVIDIA Prepares to Launch 9800 GTX+ Next Month

Agreed, if nV drops the prices on the GTX2 series cards or the 55mn part has so much more speed that it makes the 65nm part look like a turd then we could see things heat up. I don't see GDDR5 being all that much more advantageous. The ram bandwidth that the GTX2 series has is beyond what the...

NVIDIA Prepares to Launch 9800 GTX+ Next Month

Well, that's a new one on me although I've never vested much interest in multi monitor support. I'm glad to hear that nV finally gifted SLI setups with the gift of multiple monitor support.

NVIDIA Prepares to Launch 9800 GTX+ Next Month

At the current time the 9800GTX is $320+ which IS half the cost of the GTX280. I wasn't aware that they were rolling back the cost of the 65nm GTX as I hadn't seen it mentioned in the preview I read, they only mentioned that it's ~$100 cheaper than the straight GTX. That's where I got my info...

Actually, with TRI SLI you can run a single monitor, there is no multiple monitor support with any SLI that I'm aware of.

NVIDIA Prepares to Launch 9800 GTX+ Next Month

The 9800GTX+ isn't a bad deal at the price as it's cheaper than the GTX and is a wee bit faster. The sad thing is that it's still no faster than the 8800GTX which has gone the way of the dodo. The GTX280 is way overpriced, it's not twice as fast as 9800GTX yet it's same price as a 9800GTX SLI...
