Looks kind of like it has a wide neck. I have a hard enough time with my Fender, my hands being small as they are. I'd like to get one still. I am a guitar aficionado. Hopefully I will actually get good someday soon.

I've always found Gnome to be rather crash-y. End-up-with-a-frozen-screen crashy. Driver issues, maybe, but it's happened with many different computers of mine. And I really can't rely upon something that may only go thirty minutes before locking up.

The oldest equipment I have now is an Acer Pentium4 system with an NVIDIA Geforce 4. I used to have a Pentium MMX acer with a 0.98 GB hard drive, 512 MB (I think) RAM, and integrated video (this was bought before even the voodoo cards came out). I kind of wish I'd kept it, but I got rid of it...

That's a shame.

So, you think it's worth the money? I've been playing C&C: Renegade lately. Given it's from 2002, the AI is pretty dumb, but it's still really fun.

Crimsonstar, what's your take on AMD vs. intel motherboards? I'm still uncertain. Most people say intel is the best for raw power - virtualization, heavy multitasking, etc.

I tried the demo for Worms Reloaded. Pretty fun, but I didn't find it as fun as the original games.

Some of these games are some of the funnest ever. Oddworld! Postal2 is diabolical.

I ran the express and then the full test, but it didn't find any errors. I'm not experiencing any issues tonight, strangely enough. I might try finding the bootable version so it can check all the memory.

Just last night I started having issues with video artifacts again. A number of months ago, this issue cropped out then just as mysteriously disappeared. I sent the laptop (HP Envy 17) to HP and they just replaced a fan. Temperature is around 70C when gaming, so I don't see a problem there...

Could you save more if you chose AMD over intel?

It's stuff like that that makes me dislike Apple. Too restrictive and totalitarian.

I posted this over a year ago, and I still haven't built anything (there are extenuating circumstances). Still really want to though. :D Now I'm thinking Sabertooth motherboard ....

Here's an HTML5 version of the first mission of the original Command & Conquer: http://www.adityaravishankar.com/projects/games/command-and-conquer. I found it to be a bit buggy (pathfinding specifically), but it's still impressive.
