Weird temp readings?

Ok well, I just noticed in AMD Overdrive my CPU is reporting the temp as -256.0C but flipping to the Board Status page its saying ASUS_CPU_TEMPERATURE 34.0C so I was wondering if it was normal to only get the temps on a 955 BE from the motherboard not the cores themselves.

Most likely it's a driver problem, will probably be fixed in a later/earlier version. Nothing to really worry about since the fans will likely be controlled by the motherboard rather than the drivers.

Try another monitoring program like Everest or Real Temp.

HWMonitor is one of my favorites as well. Small and light weight with everything at your finger tips.

Everest detects the CPU as 33C but it shows 0C per core, I know that temps right for the CPU but I wanted to know if it was normal for a Phenom II X4 955 BE to only have an overall temp and not per core.
