I do like it, for some reason I was reminded of Star Trek Generations. I went back and listented to the Dennis McCarthy's Main Title from the movie and they are very similar, granted Robert Rich's is much longer and etc but I did like the music from Generations even if the movie sucked, except for a few choice moments from Data, I digress. Here is a link, the sound I am referring too starts at about 23 seconds and only goes till about 1:15 but just that will be enough to catch your attention I think.

There has been one artist that I haven't talked about and it hasn't been because I didn't want, it's because how do I best introduce you to his work? I came to know him through a television series I am very fond of and it is called Babylon 5, whether you hate it, like it or you love it you can not deny that Christopher Franke has written some of the best musical scores for television ever.

I have no way to give you the best out of 5 plus years of work from this man but I can give you the best work that tears at me each time I hear it. These two pieces are from the final episode called Sleeping in Light and they aren't the longest in the portfolio from Christopher but it is I think some of his best even with out knowing the context behind it. Hope you like it.

I do like these Babylon5 songs! I sounds a little orchestral which is really nice! There is some true emotions in these songs. :) I can see what you mean. I am often touched by music as well ;) I'll make sure to check some more songs out :)

I see what you mean. It has the same clear sound as that Robert Rich song.

Speaking of orchestral music, my little brother is playing in this orchestra. He's only 17 years old. He's playing horn. Yes we do have the music feel in our family. I have always been more into sports, but I have the ears for it. Sadly the sound quality isn't great, the location for it wasn't excellent for that purpose as well. It was quite an emotional experience hearing it live ;)

What do you guys think of this Coral :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzLb0X298kw

Glad to hear you liked his work. Like I said there is like 5 years worth of stuff and I forgot to mention all the movies too so there is a lot to listen to. The part that tears me up isn't just the song it's self it's knowing the story behind the song. Babylon 5 told a fantastic story for 5 years, it had a beginning, middle and end no other Sci-Fi show could or can say that. The show started in 1995 and was the first TV show to have 100% CGI so it isn't perfect but it is descent for the first 2 seasons then it gets better from 3 to 5.

The final episode of B5 is Sleeping in the Light and that got a whole new album just for that final episode so those you will not hear anywhere else in the show. I know it isn't a simple show to watch but all the characters develop in their own way, live their own way and stumble in their own ways that makes it something different that had not been seen before in Sci-Fi TV. It's defiantly not a show for every one but if you get a chance just know that the first season 1 is a hard one to sit through because the studio was pushing for a different lead and in season 2 they bring on Bruce Boxleitner but if you don't watch season 1 many of the events that happen after it will not make sense, so best to watch it.

That Robert Rich song took me so quick to that ST Generations I felt like I had whip lash, lol. I plan on listening to more of his stuff later on, he is pretty talented but relaxing is the order for his music defiantly not gaming. (c;

I thought they sounded great. The mic defiantly didn't do them justice but what can you do? I can't play a lick of music but I know what music I do like and they did great. I blame the mic for the distortion and the other problems so tell him I think they did well.

Thank you :) My little brother is the horn player is sitting on the far left of the horn players. He's the light build guy. For us on the video it's the left side, for him the right side lol! What can I say I'm a proud older brother lol!

I'll check Babylon5 out. I didn't realize it was actually a SF series. That is cool! The music is great!

While being on the subject of trance music. Here are a couple of nice trance tracks I like. In general that is a lot of classic trance ;)

B.B.E - Desire (Age Of Club): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYKLjceerSI
Criss Source - Miami 3000: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwfpFLCcaJE
Angelic - It's My Turn 2009 (Darren Tate Remix): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glHiiueIYfw
Mark Pledger feat. Melinda Gareh - Time Stands Still (Original Mix): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8bLEyCcp2E

I am very selective when it comes to picking these tracks. It's why I could never be a deejay! I'd just go like wanting to make the best set ever made, with the one track let you be even more amazed as the other. It would be fine if you were given enough time to create such a set again ;) To be really honest I think I like about 20% or even less of all trance tracks. It's gotta be the top quality ones.

I think that Trancemaster 6009 album is quite a good one.

Some really great tunes in this thread! :)

I'll add one that's bouncing around my head for the week, no vocals. Sounds better when it's crystal clear, it's a bit muffed from the compression: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfYdqsnevKs&hd=1 There's also a 5 minute chill version of it floating around on there.

It's an easy listening track that's for sure. That guitar melody in it is quite memorable indeed. But it's not really getting to me this song. Maybe the chill version might more.

I have this DVD at home as well :) It's Deep Purple live in the royal albert hall. I really like this piece :) This is something more powerful, it's great to listen to. Especially the base trombone there, the king of the orchestra :)

Sorry for my enthusiasm LOL! I was remembering some tracks I figured posting. I'll keep a small brake ;)

haha, I like the enthusiasm just found something to focus my energy, rather then just wandering around so beneficial for me. I say bring it, the more the merrier!
